Operating Instructions

Basic Mixing

  1. Adjust GAIN: For each active input channel, speak or play into the microphone/instrument. Slowly increase the GAIN control until the channel's PEAK LED flashes only occasionally. This sets the optimal input level.
  2. Set Channel Levels: Gradually raise the channel LEVEL fader for each input you wish to hear.
  3. Adjust Main Output: Slowly raise the MAIN L/R faders to achieve the desired overall volume. Monitor the 10-segment stereo level meter to avoid clipping (red LEDs).
  4. Use EQ: Adjust the HIGH, MID, and LOW controls on each channel to shape the tone. Turn clockwise to boost frequencies, counter-clockwise to cut.
  5. Apply Effects: Use the FX control on each channel to send signal to the internal effects processor. Adjust the master EFFECTS controls for the desired reverb level.
