- All-Terrain Adaptability & Flexible Power: Features an automatic altitude mode that adjusts combustion for optimal performance up to 18,000 ft, with real-time altitude display. Compatible with 110V AC, 12V DC, and 24V DC power sources.
- Precision Temperature Management: An included 59-inch extension cable allows for accurate indoor temperature monitoring, enabling an auto start-stop function to maintain consistent comfort. Heat output is adjustable across 10 power levels, and multiple timer groups can be set.
- Smart App Control: Full control via Bluetooth connectivity and the user-friendly HCALORY app, allowing remote adjustment of settings, scheduling, and system status monitoring.
3. What's in the Box
Your HCALORY 8KW Toolbox 2S Portable Diesel Air Heater package includes the following components:
- Heater Host Unit
- Remote Control
- User Manual
- Installation Accessories (various hoses, clamps, brackets, muffler, air filter, power adapter)
4. Setup & Installation
Follow these steps for initial setup and installation of your diesel heater.
4.1 Component Assembly
- Connect Exhaust Hose: Securely attach the flexible metal exhaust hose to the heater's exhaust port using a locking collar and screwdriver.
- Attach Muffler: Connect the other end of the exhaust hose to the muffler, securing it with another locking collar. Ensure the muffler is positioned away from flammable materials and directed outdoors.
- Connect Warm Air Hose: Attach the warm air output hose to the heater's warm air outlet, securing it with a locking collar. If using a vent outlet, attach the hose to the vent.
- Install Intake Pipe: Secure the air intake pipe to the designated port on the heater using the provided bracket and screws. Attach the air filter to the end of the intake pipe.
4.2 Fueling the Heater
Open the blue fuel tank cap on top of the unit. Carefully pour diesel fuel into the 6-liter tank. Ensure not to overfill. Close the cap securely after fueling.
4.3 Power Connection
The heater supports multiple power options:
- 110V AC: Use the provided AC/DC power adapter to connect to a standard household outlet.
- 12V/24V DC: Use the provided battery connection cables to connect directly to a 12V or 24V battery source.
Ensure the power source matches the heater's requirements and is stable.

5. Operating Instructions
The heater can be operated via its integrated control panel, remote control, or the HCALORY smartphone app.
5.1 Power On/Off
Press and hold the power button on the control panel or remote for approximately 2 seconds to turn the heater ON or OFF. When turning OFF, the unit will enter a cool-down cycle before completely shutting down. Do not disconnect power during the cool-down cycle.
5.2 Temperature & Gear Adjustment
- Manual Gear Mode (H-1 to H-10): Use the up/down arrows on the control panel or remote to adjust the heat output level from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest).
- Constant Temperature Mode: Set a desired temperature, and the heater will automatically adjust its output to maintain it.
- Auto Start-Stop: When in constant temperature mode, the heater can automatically start and stop to maintain the set temperature, optimizing fuel consumption.
5.3 Smart App Control
Download the HCALORY app to your smartphone and connect via Bluetooth for advanced control:
- Altitude Mode: The app displays real-time altitude and automatically adjusts combustion for optimal performance.
- Timer Function: Set multiple timer groups for scheduled operation (e.g., turn on at a specific time, turn off later).
- Fan Mode: Operate the unit as a fan without heat.
- Data Display: Monitor voltage, height, body temperature, and ambient temperature.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your heater.
- Fuel Tank: Periodically inspect the fuel tank for debris and clean as necessary.
- Air Intake & Exhaust: Ensure all air intake and exhaust ducts are unobstructed. Check for any bends or damage.
- Temperature Sensor: Verify the casing temperature sensor is fully in contact with the casing.
- General Inspection: Regularly check all connections, hoses, and electrical wiring for wear or damage.
7. Troubleshooting
Refer to the following table for common error codes and suggested solutions:
| Error Code | Principle of Failure | Quick Processing Suggestions |
|---|---|---|
| E05 | High temperature alarm (Casing temperature >446°F) | 1) Check if the cold air intake is blocked. 2) Check if the hot air outlet pipe is bent. 3) Check if the fan is working properly. 4) Add gasket to the temperature sensor. |
| E061 | The motor wire is open circuit | Connect the positive and negative terminals of the battery to the motor interface, and check whether the motor is rotating. |
| E062 | The motor is short-circuited | The motor is damaged or the mainboard is faulty. |
| E063 | The Glow Plug wire is open-circuit | 1) Check if the impeller is stuck. 2) The gap between the magnet on the wind wheel and the Hall sensor on the controller is too large. |
| E07 | The communication between the mainboard and the control screen is abnormal | 1) Check if the connection part of the control screen is loose. 2) Check if the connection line (blue) of the control screen is open circuit. |
| E08 | The flame is extinguished | 1) Check whether there is a lack of oil, oil is low-temperature solidification, oil road blockage, oil pipe collapse, too many gas pockets in the oil pipe, oil pump stuck. 2) Check if the air intake and exhaust duct are unobstructed. 3) Check if the casing temperature sensor is fully in contact with the casing, and if the pressure spring is strong. |
| E091 | The Glow Plug wire is open circuit | 1) Check if the wiring of the temperature sensor is disconnected. 2) Check if the connection port of the temperature sensor is loose. |
| E092 | The motor is short-circuited | The temperature sensor is damaged or the mainboard is faulty. |
| E10 | Unable to start, ignition failure | Unidentifiable comprehensive reasons. Please take videos and pictures, a thorough inspection of spark plugs, oil pump, combustion chamber, air duct, motor, fan, circuit may be needed. |
| E11 | Carbon monoxide concentration exceeds limit | Increase air exchange in the environment to reduce carbon monoxide concentration; evacuate personnel to a safe environment. |
