3. Setup
3.1 Unfolding the Device
The NETUM SD-1300 features a multi-joint folding design for compact storage. To set up, gently unfold the device until the camera head is positioned above the base, allowing for a clear view of your documents or workspace. The joints are designed to provide flexibility in positioning.

3.2 Connecting to Your Computer
- Connect the provided USB cable to the USB port on the NETUM SD-1300.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into an available USB port on your computer (Windows, Mac OS, or Linux).
- The device is plug-and-play; your operating system should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.
3.3 Software Installation
For full functionality and advanced features, it is recommended to install the dedicated software (e.g., NetumScan Pro). Refer to the included Quick Start Guide for instructions on where to download and install the software for your specific operating system.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Device Controls
The camera head features several touch-sensitive controls:
- Autofocus (AF) Button: Tap to initiate autofocus.
- Exposure (EXP +/-) Buttons: Adjust the image brightness.
- LED Light Button: Toggle the 3-level LED illumination system.
- Image Invert/Rotation Button: Rotate the image 180 degrees.

4.2 Using as a Document Camera (Visualizer)
Place documents, books, or small objects on the base or directly under the camera lens. The live feed will appear on your computer screen through the installed software. Use the flexible arm to adjust the height and angle for optimal viewing. The autofocus feature will ensure clarity, and the LED light can be adjusted to eliminate shadows or improve visibility.

4.3 Using as a Webcam
The SD-1300 can also function as a 4K webcam. Rotate the camera head to face you for video calls, online meetings, or remote teaching sessions. The built-in microphone provides clear audio capture. Select the NETUM camera as your video and audio input device in your preferred video conferencing software (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet).

4.4 Software Features
The accompanying software offers advanced controls and functionalities:
- Resolution Settings: Adjust video resolution up to 3840x2880@10fps, 2592x1944@30fps, or 1920x1080@60fps.
- Image Adjustments: Control brightness, contrast, gamma, hue, saturation, and sharpness.
- White Balance & Exposure: Fine-tune image color and lighting.
- Video Filters: Apply various filters like black & white, inverted, grayscale, and sepia.
- Gridlines: Display gridlines for precise alignment.
- Perspective Warping: Correct distorted images from angled views.
- Optical Character Recognition (OCR): Convert scanned documents into editable text formats (e.g., Word, Excel, PDF).
- Continuous Shooting & Timing Capture: Automate image capture at set intervals.

5. Maintenance
- Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use, preferably in its folded state to protect the lens and joints.
- Ensure the USB cable is not bent or crimped to prevent damage.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Image/Video: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the device and the computer. Verify that the correct camera is selected in your software or application.
- Blurry Image: Tap the autofocus button on the device or use the manual focus controls in the software. Ensure the document is flat and well-lit.
- Software Not Detecting Device: Try restarting your computer and reconnecting the device. Ensure the latest drivers are installed (check the manufacturer's website).
- Poor Audio Quality: Ensure the built-in microphone is selected as the audio input in your software. Check for any obstructions near the microphone.
- Glare on Documents: Adjust the LED light intensity or reposition the document/device to minimize reflections.
