1. Important Safety Information

• Personal Safety: Always wear eye protection, heavy long pants, long sleeves, gloves, and sturdy footwear. Do not operate the trimmer barefoot or in open sandals.
• Work Area Safety: Keep children, bystanders, and pets at least 50 feet (15 meters) away from the operating area. Clear the work area of any debris, rocks, or other objects that could be thrown by the cutting line.
• Electrical Safety: Use only the specified battery packs and charger. Do not expose battery-powered tools to rain or wet conditions.
• Tool Operation: Never operate the trimmer with damaged guards or without guards in place. Hold the tool firmly with both hands. Avoid accidental starting; ensure the switch is in the off position before inserting the battery pack.
• Maintenance: Disconnect the battery pack before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the tool.

3. Setup and Assembly

Before first use, ensure all components are present and undamaged. Refer to the included components image for verification.

3.1 Battery Charging

1. Insert the 4.0Ah battery packs into the fast charger.
2. Plug the charger into a standard power outlet.
3. Allow batteries to charge fully before first use. The charger indicator light will change when charging is complete.

3.2 Handle and Shaft Assembly

1. Attach the adjustable auxiliary handle to the main shaft. Ensure the handle is positioned for comfortable operation.
2. Tighten the handle securely using the provided fasteners.

3.3 Guard Installation

Securely attach the debris guard to the trimmer head assembly. This guard protects the user from thrown debris during operation. Ensure it is firmly in place before use.

3.4 Cutting Head Installation (Trimmer Line or Brush Cutter)

The tool supports both string trimmer line and a brush cutter blade.

• For String Trimmer: Ensure the pre-installed 2.4mm nylon twisted line is correctly spooled in the rapid line feed head.
• For Brush Cutter: If using the brush cutter, remove the string trimmer head and install the brush cutter blade according to the instructions provided with the blade.

3.5 Shoulder Strap Attachment

Attach the shoulder strap to the designated mounting point on the trimmer shaft. Adjust the strap length for comfortable and balanced operation, reducing user fatigue.

4. Operating Instructions

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including eye protection, hearing protection, and sturdy clothing before operating the trimmer.

4.1 Starting and Stopping the Trimmer

1. Ensure the battery packs are fully charged and securely inserted into the tool.
2. To start, press and hold the safety lock switch, then squeeze the trigger.
3. To stop, release the trigger. The safety lock switch will automatically reset.

4.2 Speed Settings

The trimmer features two speed settings to optimize power for different tasks.

• Low Speed: Suitable for lighter trimming tasks and to conserve battery life.
• High Speed: Provides maximum power for tackling dense weeds and tougher grass.

4.3 Trimming and Edging Techniques

For best results, use a sweeping motion, moving the trimmer from side to side. Maintain a consistent height above the ground.

• Trimming: Hold the trimmer at a slight angle, allowing the tip of the line to do the cutting.
• Edging: Rotate the trimmer head to a vertical position (if applicable, refer to specific model features) and guide the line along the edge of sidewalks or driveways.

4.4 Rapid Line Feed System

To advance the cutting line, gently tap the trimmer head on the ground while the tool is running. The rapid line feed system will automatically extend the line.

4.5 Brush Cutting

When using the brush cutter blade, approach dense vegetation slowly. Use a controlled, sweeping motion. Be aware of kickback and maintain a firm grip on the tool.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your tool. Always remove the battery pack before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Cleaning

• After each use, clean the tool with a damp cloth. Remove any grass, dirt, or debris from the cutting head, guard, and motor housing vents.
• Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals, as these can damage plastic parts.

5.2 Line Replacement

When the cutting line becomes too short or breaks, it needs to be replaced. Use only 2.4mm nylon twisted line.

1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Follow the instructions on the trimmer head to open it and remove any remaining line.
3. Cut a new length of 2.4mm nylon twisted line (refer to manual for exact length).
4. Feed the new line through the designated holes and wind it evenly onto the spool.
5. Reassemble the trimmer head, ensuring it is secure.

5.3 Brush Cutter Blade Inspection/Replacement

Regularly inspect the brush cutter blade for damage, dullness, or cracks. A damaged blade can be dangerous and should be replaced immediately. Follow manufacturer instructions for safe blade replacement.

5.4 Battery Care and Storage

• Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Do not store batteries in a discharged state for extended periods. Charge them periodically if not in use.
• Always remove batteries from the tool before storage.
