- Steam Wand: Immediately after frothing milk, wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth. Purge a small amount of steam to clear any internal milk residue.
- Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray regularly to prevent overflow and bacterial growth.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
6.2 Water Tank Cleaning
- Remove the water tank and wash it with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
- Refill with fresh water.

- Use a brush or vacuum cleaner to remove coffee grounds from the grinder burrs and chute.
- Do not wash grinder components with water.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your espresso maker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Coffee is not hot enough | Cups are cold; machine not fully preheated; incorrect brewing temperature setting. | Preheat cups with hot water; allow machine to fully heat up (PID display); check temperature settings if adjustable. |
| No coffee dispenses or flow is very slow | Water tank empty; air in the system; coffee ground too fine or tamped too hard; clogged filter/group head. | Refill water tank; run hot water through steam wand to clear air; use a coarser grind or lighter tamp; clean filter and group head; descale machine. |
| Machine beeps 5 times and stops brewing | Indicates an issue, often related to air in the water lines or a blockage. | Run hot water through the steam wand for an extended period (e.g., 1-2 minutes) to purge air. If problem persists, descale the machine. |
| Steam wand not producing steam or weak steam | Clogged steam wand; not enough heating time; scale buildup. | Clean steam wand hole with a pin; allow machine to fully heat for steam; descale the machine. |
| Grinder not working | No beans in hopper; grinder clogged; incorrect setting. | Fill hopper with beans; clean grinder burrs and chute; ensure grind setting is not jammed. |
