Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the assembly, installation, operation, and maintenance of your birdsnap 76-Inch Adjustable Bird Feeder Pole. Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain them for future reference.
Safety Information
- Ensure all components are securely fastened during assembly and installation to prevent collapse.
- When inserting the base into the ground, apply even pressure. Avoid excessive force that could bend the prongs, especially in hard or rocky soil. Consider loosening the soil first.
- Do not overload the pole with feeders or other items beyond its intended capacity.
- Keep children and pets away from the assembly area.
- Regularly inspect the pole for any signs of damage or instability, especially after strong winds or adverse weather conditions.
Package Contents
Verify that all parts are present before beginning assembly:
- 5-Prong Ground Base
- Pole Sections (multiple, typically four 15-inch sections)

Setup and Assembly
The birdsnap bird feeder pole features tool-free assembly with threaded connections.
- Assemble Pole Sections: Connect the threaded pole sections by twisting them together clockwise until secure. You can use 1 to 4 sections to achieve desired height (32, 47, 61, or 75 inches above ground).
- Attach Mounting Bracket: Align the holes on your feeder's mounting bracket with the pre-drilled holes on the top pole section. Secure with the provided screws and wrench.
- Install Ground Base: Place the 5-prong ground base in the desired location. Step on the base to push the prongs firmly into the ground. Ensure the base is level and stable. For hard soil, pre-digging or loosening the soil is recommended to prevent bending the prongs.
- Insert Pole into Base: Once the base is secure, insert the assembled pole into the central opening of the ground base.

Operating and Installation
The birdsnap pole is designed for versatile use with various bird feeders and outdoor devices.
Height Adjustment
The pole's height can be adjusted by using fewer or more of the 15-inch pole sections. Available heights (from ground level to top of pole) are approximately 32 inches (2 sections), 47 inches (3 sections), 61.2 inches (4 sections), and 74.8 inches (5 sections, including the base section). The total height of the pole sections is 76 inches.

Mounting Options
The pole supports various mounting configurations for different types of feeders and devices:
- Top Mounting: For feeders designed to sit directly on top of the pole.
- Side Mounting: For feeders that attach to the side of the pole using a bracket. The pole is compatible with BirdSnap products and many smart bird feeder cameras.
- Special Feeders: For feeders with unique mounting requirements, it may be necessary to use a wooden board as an adapter between the feeder and the pole's mounting bracket.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your birdsnap bird feeder pole, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Regular Cleaning: Periodically wipe down the pole with a damp cloth to remove dirt, grime, and bird droppings.
- Rust Inspection: Although the pole features a triple-protected rustproof design (metal core, reinforcement layer, anti-rust coating), inspect it regularly for any signs of rust, especially in areas where the coating might be scratched or damaged. Touch up any affected areas with rust-resistant paint if necessary.
- Stability Check: After strong winds, heavy rain, or snow, check the pole's stability in the ground. Re-seat the 5-prong base if it has shifted.
- Connection Check: Ensure all threaded pole sections remain tightly connected. The Windproof 3.0 upgrade features thicker, longer screws and a vibration-proof locking design to prevent loosening.
- Weather Resistance: The pole is designed to withstand UV exposure, water, wind, and snow. No special winterization is typically required, but regular checks are advised.

Troubleshooting
- Pole is wobbly:
- Ensure the 5-prong base is fully inserted and level in the ground.
- Check that all pole sections are tightly screwed together.
- If soil is loose, consider compacting it around the base or relocating to firmer ground.
- Prongs bent during installation:
- This can occur if excessive force is used in hard or rocky soil. Always loosen the soil before inserting the base.
- Carefully attempt to straighten minor bends. For significant damage, replacement of the base may be necessary.
- Feeder does not fit mounting bracket:
- Verify compatibility with your feeder type.
- For special feeders, use a wooden board as an adapter between the feeder and the pole's mounting bracket.
