4. Setup and Installation

4.1 MicroSD Card Insertion

  1. Ensure the dash cam is powered off.
  2. Insert the MicroSD card (Class 10 or higher, up to 256GB recommended) into the designated slot until it clicks.
  3. Format the MicroSD card via the dash cam's settings menu upon first use.

4.2 Dash Cam Mounting

  1. Front Camera: Choose a location on your windshield that does not obstruct your view, typically behind the rearview mirror. Clean the area thoroughly. Attach the mounting bracket to the windshield, then slide the dash cam onto the bracket.
  2. Rear Camera: Mount the rear camera on the rear windshield, ensuring a clear view. Route the cable neatly along the headliner and pillar trim to the front dash cam.

4.3 Hardwire Kit Installation

The hardwire kit provides continuous power for parking monitoring and protects your vehicle's battery from draining.

  5. Route Cables: Neatly route all cables along the vehicle's interior trim using the pry tool to conceal them.
  6. Connect to Dash Cam: Plug the USB-C end of the hardwire kit into the dash cam's power input.
