Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  • Read all instructions before use.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

Setup and First Use

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and stickers from the appliance.
  2. Cleaning: Wash the frying basket and frying pan with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are completely dry before use.
  3. Placement: Place the air fryer on a stable, horizontal, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm of free space around the back and sides of the appliance, and 10 cm above it, to allow for proper air circulation.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded wall outlet.
  5. Initial Run (Optional but Recommended): For the first use, it is recommended to run the air fryer empty for about 10-15 minutes at 180°C to eliminate any manufacturing odors. A slight smell or smoke may occur, which is normal. Ensure good ventilation during this process.

Operating Instructions

Control Panel Overview

The LEHMANN Air Fryer XL features an intuitive touch screen display. The main controls include:

  • Power Button: Turns the appliance on/off.
  • Temperature Control (+/-): Adjusts cooking temperature (80-200°C).
  • Timer Control (+/-): Adjusts cooking time (1-60 minutes).
  • Program Selection: Cycles through 8 preset cooking programs.
  • Start/Pause Button: Initiates or pauses the cooking cycle.

General Operation

  1. Prepare Food: Place your ingredients into the frying basket. Do not overfill the basket.
  2. Insert Basket: Slide the frying pan with the basket back into the air fryer until it clicks into place.
  3. Power On: Press the Power button to turn on the appliance.
  4. Set Temperature and Time:
    • Manual Setting: Use the Temperature (+/-) buttons to set the desired cooking temperature (80-200°C) and the Timer (+/-) buttons to set the cooking time (1-60 minutes).
    • Preset Programs: Press the Program Selection button to cycle through the 8 preset programs (Fries, Fish, Seafood, Poultry, Pizza, Cake, Vegetables, Meat). Each program has a default temperature and time, which can be adjusted manually if needed.
  5. Start Cooking: Press the Start/Pause button to begin the cooking process. The fan and heating element will activate.
  6. Shaking Food (Optional): For some foods, especially smaller items like fries, it is recommended to shake the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking. To do this, carefully pull out the frying pan by its handle, shake the basket, and then slide it back in. The air fryer will automatically pause and resume cooking once the pan is reinserted.
  7. End of Cooking: Once the set time has elapsed, the air fryer will beep, and the heating element will turn off. The fan may continue to run for a short period to cool down the appliance.
  8. Remove Food: Carefully pull out the frying pan. Use tongs to remove the cooked food from the basket. Avoid tipping the basket directly, as excess oil may collect in the bottom of the pan.
  9. Power Off: Press the Power button to turn off the appliance, or it will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity. Unplug the appliance from the wall outlet.

The LEHMANN Air Fryer XL utilizes a powerful 1700W heating element and a high-speed fan to circulate hot air rapidly and evenly around the food. This 360° circulation ensures that food is cooked thoroughly and crisped from all sides, achieving a fried texture with significantly less oil.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning of your air fryer will ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
  2. Clean Frying Basket and Pan:
    • The removable frying basket and frying pan are dishwasher-safe.
    • Alternatively, wash them with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge.
    • For stubborn food residues, soak the basket and pan in hot water with dish soap for about 10 minutes before cleaning.
    • Ensure they are completely dry before reassembling or storing.
  3. Clean Inside the Appliance: Wipe the inside of the air fryer with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool.
  4. Clean Outside the Appliance: Wipe the exterior of the air fryer with a damp cloth.
  5. Heating Element: If necessary, gently clean the heating element with a soft brush to remove any food particles. Do not use water or liquid directly on the heating element.
