4.1. Machine Components

5. Setup
5.1. Unpacking and Placement
- Remove the machine from its packaging.
- Place the machine on a stable, flat surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the machine for fabric handling.
5.2. Attaching the Wide Table
- Align the pegs on the wide table with the corresponding holes on the free arm of the sewing machine.
- Gently push the table towards the machine until it clicks securely into place.
5.3. Connecting Power and Foot Pedal
- Insert the power cord into the power input jack on the machine.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- If using the foot pedal, insert its plug into the foot pedal jack on the machine.
5.4. Winding the Bobbin
The Poolin EOC02 comes with prewound bobbins. If you need to wind your own bobbins with custom thread, follow these general steps:

- Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
- Guide the thread through the bobbin winding tension disc.
- Place an empty bobbin onto the bobbin winder spindle.
- Wrap the thread around the bobbin a few times clockwise.
- Push the bobbin winder spindle to the right.
- Start the machine (using the foot pedal or start/stop button) to wind the bobbin. Stop when the bobbin is full.
- Cut the thread and return the bobbin winder spindle to the left.
5.5. Threading the Upper Thread
- Raise the presser foot lifter.
- Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
- Follow the numbered threading path indicated on the machine, ensuring the thread passes through all guides and the take-up lever.
- Thread the needle from front to back.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Power On/Off
- Locate the power switch on the side or back of the machine.
- Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to power on the machine. The LCD display will illuminate.
- Flip the switch to the 'OFF' position when finished sewing.
6.2. Stitch Selection and Adjustment
- Use the stitch selection buttons (usually indicated by arrows or numbers) to scroll through the 200 available stitches. The selected stitch number will appear on the LCD display.
- Adjust stitch length and width using the dedicated adjustment buttons, as indicated on the LCD display.
6.3. Using the Start/Stop Button and Speed Control
- For pedal-free operation, press the Start/Stop button to begin sewing. Press it again to stop.
- Adjust the sewing speed using the speed control slider. Slide towards 'Slow' for slower speeds and 'Fast' for higher speeds.
- If using the foot pedal, the Start/Stop button will be overridden, and speed will be controlled by pedal pressure.
6.4. Reverse Stitching
- To reinforce stitches at the beginning or end of a seam, press and hold the reverse button. The machine will sew backward.
- Release the button to resume forward stitching.
6.5. Changing Presser Feet
- Ensure the needle is in its highest position and the machine is turned off.
- Press the release lever at the back of the presser foot holder to detach the current foot.
- Place the desired presser foot under the holder, aligning the pin on the foot with the groove on the holder.
- Lower the presser foot lifter until the foot snaps into place.
6.6. Fabric Compatibility
The Poolin EOC02 is designed to handle a versatile selection of fabrics, making it suitable for both everyday sewing and creative projects. This includes:
- Delicate Fabrics: Satin, Silk, Organza, Taffeta – ideal for dresses, linings, and bridal wear.
- Stretch & Knit Materials: Jersey, Lycra, Spandex – perfect for activewear and t-shirts.
- Standard Fabrics: Cotton, Linen, Polyester blends.
Note: Thin and stretch fabrics may require stabilizers to ensure clean, even stitching. Always test on a scrap piece of fabric before sewing your main project.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your sewing machine.
7.1. Cleaning
- Always unplug the machine before cleaning.
- Remove the needle plate and bobbin case.
- Use the provided cleaning brush to remove lint and dust from the feed dogs, bobbin area, and tension discs.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
7.2. Needle Replacement
- Replace the needle regularly (after every 8-10 hours of sewing or when it becomes dull/bent).
- Ensure the machine is off and the needle is in its highest position.
- Loosen the needle clamp screw and remove the old needle.
- Insert a new needle with the flat side facing the back of the machine, pushing it up as far as it will go.
- Tighten the needle clamp screw securely.
