4. Installation Guide

4.1 Important Size Notice

The C4 PRO is larger than standard dash cams (Dimensions: 6.5" x 2.3" / 16.5cm x 5.8cm) due to its 4-lens hardware. Please measure your windshield space near the rear-view mirror before installation to ensure it does not obstruct your view.

4.2 Mounting the Main Unit

1. Clean the area on your windshield where you intend to mount the dash cam.
2. Apply one of the provided electrostatic films to the cleaned area. This protects your windshield and allows for easier removal.
3. Peel off the protective film from the adhesive mount pad on the main unit.
4. Firmly press the main unit onto the electrostatic film on your windshield, ensuring optimal angle. The mount is pre-adjusted at the optimal angle for most vehicles. If adjustment is required, the bracket can be rotated 10° forward and backward.

4.3 Installing the Rear Camera

1. Identify a suitable location on your rear windshield for the 2K rear camera.
2. Clean the area and apply an electrostatic film.
3. Attach the rear camera to the film using its adhesive pad.
4. Connect the rear camera cable to the main unit and route the cable discreetly along the vehicle's headliner and A-pillars using the provided crowbar tool and cable clips.

4.4 Power Connection

1. Connect the USB-C power lead to the main unit.
2. Plug the car charger into your vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter socket.
3. Route the power cable discreetly along the windshield and dashboard trim using the crowbar tool and cable clips.

Note: For 24/7 Parking Mode functionality, a specific Type-C Hardwire Kit (ASIN: B0DHJNRPB9) is REQUIRED and sold separately. This kit provides continuous power to the dash cam even when the vehicle is off.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operations

• Power ON/OFF: The dash cam automatically powers on/off with your vehicle's ignition. You can also manually power on/off by pressing the power button.
• Screen ON/OFF: Short-press the power button to turn the screen on or off.
• Switch Camera View: Press the 'M' button to cycle through different camera views (Front, Rear, Side, Multi-view).
• Lock Current Video Clip: During recording, long-press the 'M' button to lock the current video, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording.

6. Parking Mode

8. Troubleshooting

• Dash Cam Not Powering On: Ensure the car charger is properly connected and the vehicle's 12V socket is functioning. Check the power cable for damage.
• Recording Issues: Format the microSD card. Ensure the card is a high-speed (Class 10 or U3) card. If issues persist, try a different compatible microSD card.
• WiFi Connection Problems: Ensure the dash cam's WiFi is enabled. Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone. Try connecting again.
• Voice Control Not Responding: Speak clearly and ensure there is minimal background noise. Update firmware via the IIWEY App.
