- Storage: When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging, to protect it from dust and damage.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Heater Does Not Turn On:
- Power Check: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a functioning 120V AC wall outlet.
- Mode Selection: Verify that the power control switch (right knob) is set to "FAN ONLY", "I" (LOW Heat), or "II" (HIGH Heat), not "O" (OFF).
- Tip-Over Safety Switch: The heater is equipped with an automatic tip-over safety switch located on the bottom. Ensure the heater is placed on a firm, level surface so the switch is fully depressed. If the heater is lifted or tipped, it will automatically shut off.
- Overheat Protection: If the heater has overheated, the internal overheat protection system may have activated. Refer to section 6.2 for reset instructions.
6.2 Overheat Protection Reset:
If the heater shuts off unexpectedly and you suspect overheating, follow these steps:
- Turn the power control switch to the "O" (OFF) position.
- Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
- Allow the heater to cool down for approximately 10 minutes.
- Ensure that both the air intake and exhaust vents are clear of any obstructions.
- Reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
- Turn the power control switch to the "I" or "II" position, and then the temperature control switch to the highest setting.
- If the heater still does not operate normally after these steps, consult an authorized repair technician.
