  2. Align the stand legs with the screw holes on the bottom of the TV.
  3. Secure the stand legs using the provided screws. Ensure they are tightened firmly.

Note: For wall mounting, refer to the separate wall mount instructions (not included) and ensure proper installation by a qualified professional.

2. Sound Bar Placement

Place the Q65H Sound Bar directly in front of your TV, centered, on a stable surface. Ensure there are no obstructions in front of the sound bar for optimal audio performance.

3. Connecting Your Devices

Connect your TV and Sound Bar to power and other devices using the following steps:

  • Power Connection (TV): Plug the TV power cord into the TV's power input, then into a wall outlet.
  • Power Connection (Sound Bar): Plug the Sound Bar power cord into the Sound Bar's power input, then into a wall outlet.
  • HDMI ARC Connection (Recommended for Sound Bar): Connect one end of the provided HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on your TV and the other end to the HDMI ARC port on your Q65H Sound Bar. This allows for audio return from the TV to the sound bar and control via the TV remote.

Maintenance

Proper care ensures the longevity and performance of your TCL TV and Sound Bar.

  • Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation openings on the TV are not blocked. Allow adequate space around the TV for airflow.
  • Power Cords: Regularly check power cords for any damage. Do not place heavy objects on power cords.
  • Remote Control Batteries: Replace batteries in the remote controls when they stop responding or become sluggish. Use AAA batteries for both remotes.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, try these common troubleshooting steps before contacting support.

No Power

  • Ensure both the TV and Sound Bar power cords are securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
  • Check if the power outlet is active by plugging in another device.
  • Press the power button on the TV/Sound Bar itself, not just the remote.

No Picture / Distorted Picture

  • Verify the correct input source is selected on the TV (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2).
  • Check all cable connections between the TV and external devices (e.g., cable box, gaming console). Try re-seating the cables.
  • If using an antenna, perform a channel scan.
  • Try a different HDMI port or a different HDMI cable.
  • Reset the TV by unplugging it from the power outlet for 60 seconds, then plugging it back in.

No Sound / Low Sound

  • Ensure the TV and Sound Bar are not muted and volume is turned up.
  • Verify the correct input source is selected on the Sound Bar (e.g., HDMI ARC, Optical).
  • If using HDMI ARC, ensure the TV's audio output is set to "External Speakers" or "HDMI ARC" in its audio settings.
  • Check the audio cable connections between the TV and Sound Bar.
  • Try playing audio from a different source to determine if the issue is with a specific device.

Remote Control Not Working

  • Replace the batteries with new ones.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the TV/Sound Bar's IR sensor.
  • For the TV remote, if it's a Bluetooth remote, try re-pairing it with the TV (refer to TV settings for pairing instructions).
