4. Setup Guide

1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
2. Choose a Location: Place the litter box on a firm, level surface in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is a power outlet nearby.
3. Install Waste Drawer Liner: Open the waste drawer compartment and place a waste drawer liner inside. Ensure the liner is properly seated and secured. Close the waste drawer.
4. Add Cat Litter: Pour clumping cat litter into the main litter bed. Do not exceed the MAX fill line indicated inside the unit. Typically, 8-10 lbs of litter is sufficient.
5. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the power port on the back of the unit, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet. The unit will perform an initial calibration cycle.
6. Allow Cat Acclimation: Allow your cat to acclimate to the new litter box. You may leave the unit unplugged for a day or two if your cat is hesitant.

5. Operating Instructions

Automatic Cleaning Cycle

The Cumrige CH-ICB020 is designed to automatically clean the litter bed after your cat uses it. An infrared sensor detects when your cat enters and exits the unit. After a preset delay (typically 5-10 minutes to allow litter to clump), the cleaning cycle will initiate.

• The raking mechanism will scoop waste from the litter bed.
• Waste is deposited into the sealed waste drawer below.
• The raking mechanism returns to its home position.

Manual Cleaning Cycle

To initiate a cleaning cycle manually, press the Clean button located on the control panel. The unit will perform a full cleaning cycle immediately.

Emptying the Waste Drawer

The waste drawer should be emptied regularly, typically every few days for one cat, or more frequently for multiple cats. The unit may have an indicator light to signal when the drawer is full.

1. Unplug the unit for safety.
2. Pull out the waste drawer from the front of the unit.
3. Carefully tie off the waste liner bag and dispose of it.
4. Insert a new waste drawer liner.
5. Slide the waste drawer back into the unit until it clicks into place.
6. Plug the unit back in.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular Cleaning

• Daily: Check litter level and add more if needed. Ensure the waste drawer is not overflowing.
• Weekly: Wipe down the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth and mild, pet-safe cleaner. Clean the sensor area to ensure proper detection.

Deep Cleaning (Monthly/Bi-Monthly)

1. Unplug and Empty: Unplug the unit and remove all litter. Empty and clean the waste drawer thoroughly.
2. Disassemble (if applicable): Refer to specific diagrams in your physical manual for any removable parts like the litter bed or rake.
3. Wash Components: Wash removable components with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before reassembling. Do not submerge the main electronic unit.
4. Wipe Interior: Wipe the interior of the main unit with a damp cloth and pet-safe cleaner. Ensure no moisture enters electronic components.
5. Reassemble: Once all parts are dry, reassemble the unit. Add fresh litter and plug it back in.
