3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the 'What's in the Box' section are present.
3.2 Extending the Tripod Legs
- Place the tripod on a flat, stable surface.
- Release the leg locks on each leg. The AD-14-5440 features 2-button leg locks for secure adjustment.
- Extend each leg section to the desired height.
- Securely fasten all leg locks to prevent accidental collapse.

3.3 Attaching the Quick Release Plate
- Locate the quick release plate on the fluid head.
- Press the QR Plate Release Button and slide the quick release plate out.
- Attach your camera or equipment to the quick release plate using the appropriate 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 screw. Ensure it is tightened securely.
- Slide the quick release plate with your equipment back into the fluid head until it clicks into place.
- Engage the QR Plate Locking Knob for additional security.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Adjusting Tripod Height
The tripod offers a wide range of height adjustments. To adjust, release the leg locks, extend or retract the leg sections, and then firmly re-engage the locks. The tripod can extend from a minimum height of 85cm (33 inches) to a maximum height of 186cm (73 inches).

4.2 Panning and Tilting
The fluid head allows for smooth and controlled camera movements.
- Panning: Loosen the Pan Locking Knob to rotate the camera horizontally (360° panorama). Tighten the knob to secure the position.
- Tilting: Loosen the Tilt Locking Knob to adjust the camera vertically. The tilt range is +85° to -78°. Tighten the knob to secure the angle.
- The fluid head features infinite tilt drag control, allowing you to customize the resistance for smoother movements based on your equipment's weight.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the tripod body with a soft, dry cloth after each use to remove dust and dirt.
- For stubborn grime, use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap, then dry thoroughly.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish and components.
- Keep the fluid head clean and free of debris to ensure smooth operation.
5.2 Storage
- Store the tripod in its included carrying bag when not in use to protect it from dust and scratches.

- Ensure all leg sections are fully retracted and locked before storage.
