3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the 'What's in the Box' section are present.

3.2 Extending the Tripod Legs

  1. Place the tripod on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Release the leg locks on each leg. The AD-14-5440 features 2-button leg locks for secure adjustment.
  3. Extend each leg section to the desired height.
  4. Securely fasten all leg locks to prevent accidental collapse.

3.3 Attaching the Quick Release Plate

  1. Locate the quick release plate on the fluid head.
  2. Press the QR Plate Release Button and slide the quick release plate out.
  3. Attach your camera or equipment to the quick release plate using the appropriate 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 screw. Ensure it is tightened securely.
  4. Slide the quick release plate with your equipment back into the fluid head until it clicks into place.
  5. Engage the QR Plate Locking Knob for additional security.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Adjusting Tripod Height

The tripod offers a wide range of height adjustments. To adjust, release the leg locks, extend or retract the leg sections, and then firmly re-engage the locks. The tripod can extend from a minimum height of 85cm (33 inches) to a maximum height of 186cm (73 inches).
