  1. Display Screen: Shows current time, day, mode, and program settings.
  2. Buttons: Used for setting time, programs, and modes (SET, PROG, D/D, Reset, ON/OFF, +, -).
  3. Red Power Indicator Light: Illuminates when the device is powered on.

4. Initial Setup

4.1 Charging the Internal Battery

Before first use, plug the timer into a live electrical outlet for at least 30 minutes to charge the internal battery. This battery maintains the clock and program settings during power outages or when the timer is unplugged.

4.2 Clearing All Memory

To clear all previous settings and reset the timer to factory defaults, use a small pointed object (like a pen tip) to press the Reset button located on the front of the timer. This is recommended for initial setup or if you encounter programming difficulties.

4.3 Setting Current Time and Day

  1. Press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds until the clock display starts flashing.
  2. Use the + and - buttons to adjust the current hour.
  3. Press SET again to move to minute adjustment, then use + and -.
  4. Press SET again to move to day adjustment (MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU), then use + and -.
  5. Press SET one last time to confirm and exit time setting mode.

4.4 Setting Time Zone

The timer supports six U.S. time zones for accurate astronomical timing. To set your time zone:

  1. Press and hold the D/D button for 3 seconds. The current time zone abbreviation will flash on the display.
  2. Use the + or - buttons to cycle through the available time zones (PAC, MOU, CEN, EAS, HAW, ALA).
  3. Once your desired time zone is displayed, press D/D again to confirm and exit.

4.5 Daylight Saving Time (DST) Adjustment

The timer automatically adjusts for Daylight Saving Time. No manual reset is needed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Programming ON/OFF Events

The timer allows for up to 18 independent ON/OFF programs. Each program can be set for specific days of the week or daily.

  1. Press the PROG button to enter program setting mode. The display will show '1 ON'.
  2. Use the + and - buttons to set the desired ON time for Program 1.
  3. Press PROG again. The display will show '1 OFF'.
  4. Use the + and - buttons to set the desired OFF time for Program 1.
  5. Press PROG again to select the days of the week for Program 1. Use + or - to cycle through options (e.g., MO TU WE TH FR SA SU, MO-FR, SA SU, individual days, etc.).
  6. Repeat steps 1-5 for up to 18 ON/OFF programs.
  7. After setting all desired programs, press the SET button to exit program mode and return to the current time display.

5.2 Operating Modes (Auto, Manual, Random)

The timer offers three operating modes:

To switch between modes, press the ON/OFF button repeatedly until the desired mode (AUTO, MAN, RND) is displayed.

5.3 Astronomical Dusk to Dawn Feature

The timer can automatically adjust ON/OFF times based on local sunrise and sunset. This feature is active when the timer is in Auto mode and the time zone is correctly set. The display will show 'D/D' when this feature is active for a program.
