2. Setup and Installation

2.1 System Overview

The Jennov surveillance system is designed for easy installation with a true plug-and-play setup. The cameras connect wirelessly to the NVR, simplifying wiring requirements.

2.2 Camera Placement

Position cameras to cover desired areas. The cameras feature a 120-degree wide-angle lens for broad coverage. Ensure cameras are within range of the NVR's WiFi signal. For extended range, cameras can act as repeaters in a cascade connection.

2.3 Power Connection

Connect each camera to its dedicated power adapter. Connect the NVR to its power adapter. Ensure all connections are secure.

2.4 NVR Connection

Connect the NVR to a monitor using the HDMI cable for local viewing and configuration. Connect the included mouse to the NVR's USB port for navigation. For remote access, connect the NVR to your home router via the Ethernet cable.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 High-Definition Video and Night Vision

The system provides 5MP Super HD resolution for clear video. It features color night vision, capturing detailed images even in low-light conditions. The cameras also support infrared night vision for complete darkness.

3.2 AI Human Detection and Alarms

The advanced AI human detection technology accurately identifies human figures, reducing false alarms. Upon detection of suspicious activity, the camera activates a sound and light alarm to deter intruders and alert you.

3.3 Recording Modes

The system supports 24/7 continuous recording to the 1TB HDD. Additionally, it offers event-based recording triggered by motion or human detection, and scheduled recording for specific times.

3.4 Remote Access and Two-Way Audio

Connect the NVR to the internet via an Ethernet cable to enable remote viewing on your smartphone, tablet, or computer using the EseeCloud app. The two-way audio feature allows real-time communication with individuals in the monitored area.

3.5 Expandability

The 10-channel NVR supports up to 10 cameras, allowing you to expand your surveillance coverage as needed. Additional cameras can be purchased separately.

4. Maintenance

4.1 General Care

  • Regularly clean camera lenses with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear image quality.
  • Check power connections periodically to ensure they are secure and free from damage.
  • Ensure the NVR is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating.

4.2 Weather Resistance

The cameras are IP66 waterproof, providing protection against rain and dust. They are designed to operate reliably in various weather conditions, with an operating temperature range of -10°C to 50°C (13°F to 122°F).

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 No Image Display

  • Check if the camera and NVR are properly powered on.
  • Ensure the HDMI cable is securely connected between the NVR and the monitor.
  • Verify that cameras are paired with the NVR. Refer to the NVR's on-screen menu for camera management.

5.2 No Remote Access

  • Confirm the NVR is connected to your home router via an Ethernet cable.
  • Ensure your router has an active internet connection.
  • Check the EseeCloud app settings and ensure the NVR is added correctly.

5.3 False Alarms

  • Adjust the sensitivity of the AI human detection in the NVR or app settings.
  • Define custom detection areas to exclude irrelevant zones (e.g., public sidewalks, moving trees).
