4. Initial Setup and Connectivity

4.1 Wired Connection

4.2 2.4GHz Wireless Connection

  3. On your device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "EPOMAKER Galaxy100 Lite" to connect.
  4. Once connected, the key's backlight will stop flashing. You can switch between paired devices by pressing Fn + Q/W/E.

5. Operating Your Keyboard

5.1 QMK/VIA Customization

The Galaxy100 Lite is QMK/VIA compatible, allowing for extensive customization of keymaps, macros, and lighting effects. To use VIA software:

  1. Download the latest VIA software from the official website.
  2. Connect your keyboard via USB-C cable.
  3. Open VIA and load the appropriate JSON file for the Galaxy100 Lite (ensure it's unzipped first).

5.3 Hot-Swappable Switches

The Galaxy100 Lite features a hot-swappable PCB, allowing you to change mechanical switches without soldering. This enables easy customization of your typing experience.

  1. Use the provided 2-in-1 keycap-and-switch puller to carefully remove the keycap.
  2. Use the switch puller to gently extract the switch from the PCB.
  3. Align the pins of the new 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical switch with the sockets on the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place.
  4. Replace the keycap.

The Caps Lock and Num Lock keys may display a solid white RGB light when activated, overriding custom RGB effects. This is an intended indicator feature and cannot be disabled or changed via VIA software or onboard controls.
