2. Safety Information
Read all instructions carefully before installation and use. This device is intended for residential use. Do not paint the detector. Painting may prevent the sensors from operating correctly. Test the detector regularly as described in the Operating section.
- Carbon Monoxide (CO): CO is an invisible, odorless, and tasteless gas that can be fatal. Ensure proper ventilation in areas with fuel-burning appliances.
- Smoke: Smoke alarms are crucial for early fire detection. Install in all sleeping areas and on every level of your home.
- Heat: High temperatures can indicate a fire. This detector provides an additional layer of protection by sensing abnormal heat levels.

5. Operating the Detector
The detector is designed for continuous monitoring. Once installed and powered, it will perform an initial self-check and then enter normal operation mode.
- Self-Check: Upon battery insertion, the device will initiate a 60-second self-check.
- Normal Operation: A small LED indicator will blink periodically to confirm the device is functioning correctly.
- Testing the Detector: Press the 'Test' button on the device. The detector will sound an alarm and announce "Detector function is normal. Please rest assured to use." This confirms the alarm and voice alert are working.
- Silence Feature: In case of a nuisance alarm (e.g., from cooking fumes), press the 'Silence' button to temporarily mute the alarm. The detector will reset after a short period if the threat is no longer present.

Understanding Voice Alerts:
- Carbon Monoxide Alert: "Please note that a carbon monoxide has been detected. Pay attention to open the window for ventilation."
- Smoke Alert: "Please be advised that smoke gas has been detected and that a fire may be occurring. Be safe and evacuate immediately."
- Heat Alert: "Please note that the current ambient temperature is too high."

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures your detector functions optimally:
- Monthly Testing: Press the 'Test' button once a month to ensure the alarm and voice alerts are working.
- Cleaning: Gently vacuum the detector's vents and cover once a year to remove dust and debris. Do not use cleaning sprays or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: The detector is designed with a 10-year battery life. If the low battery warning sounds, replace the batteries immediately.
7. Troubleshooting
If your detector is not functioning as expected, refer to the following:
- False Alarms: Ensure the detector is not installed near cooking fumes, high humidity areas (like bathrooms), or excessive dust. Use the 'Silence' button for temporary muting.
- No Alarm During Test: Check battery installation and ensure batteries are fresh. If the issue persists, the unit may need replacement.
- Continuous Chirping: This usually indicates a low battery. Replace the batteries as soon as possible.
