4. Setup and Preparation for Flight
4.1 Charging the Batteries
Ensure all drone batteries and the remote controller are fully charged before flight. Use the provided USB charging cables. The drone batteries are 2000mAh, 3.7V Li-PO. Each battery provides approximately 30 minutes of flight time.
4.2 Propeller Installation and Check
If propellers are not pre-installed or need replacement, ensure correct installation. Match the letter markings on the propeller blades (A or B) to the corresponding drone arms (A arm for A blade, B arm for B blade). Securely fasten with the provided screws and screwdriver. Always check propellers for damage or deformation before each flight.
4.3 Unfolding the Drone Arms
Gently unfold the drone arms until they lock into place. Ensure all arms are fully extended and secure.

4.4 App Download and Connection
Download the official NAFYRE drone application to your smartphone. Scan the QR code provided in the Quick Start Guide or search for the app in your device's app store. Connect your smartphone to the drone's Wi-Fi network (e.g., HY-GPS-002-c9ee68) via your phone's WLAN settings. Once connected, open the app and follow any on-screen prompts to establish communication with the drone.
5. Calibration
Accurate calibration is crucial for stable and safe flight. Perform both gyroscope and geomagnetic calibration before your first flight and whenever the drone's flight behavior seems erratic.
5.1 Gyroscope Calibration
- Place the drone on a level surface with the controller and the front of the drone pointing in the same direction.
- Press the gyroscope calibration button on the controller.
- The drone's indicator light will flash rapidly and then stay lit, while the controller emits a beeping sound, indicating that the calibration is complete.
5.2 Geomagnetic Calibration
- Press the geomagnetic calibration button on the controller. The controller will emit a beeping sound while the drone's indicator light flashes rapidly.
- Hold the drone in your hand and rotate it clockwise slowly three times in a horizontal direction. When the controller emits a beep, it indicates that the horizontal calibration is complete.
- Next, with the drone's head facing downwards, rotate it slowly clockwise three times. When the controller emits two beeps, it indicates that the geomagnetic calibration is complete.
5.3 GPS Signal Search (Outdoor Mode)
In outdoor mode, place the drone on an open and level surface. The drone will automatically search for GPS signals. When the GPS signal strength exceeds 9, the drone indicator lights and the outdoor mode indicator light will change from a slow flash to a solid light. At this point, you can unlock and use the drone.
6. Basic Flight Operations
Familiarize yourself with the remote controller and app interface before attempting flight.
6.1 Take-off and Landing
- Unlock: Press the Unlock button on the controller. The propellers will start to spin. If there is no operation within 10 seconds, the drone will automatically lock.
- Take-off: Press the One-Key Take-off button (often indicated by an upward arrow icon). The drone will automatically ascend and hover at a stable altitude.
- Landing: Press the One-Key Landing button (often indicated by a downward arrow icon). The drone will automatically descend and land softly.
6.2 Joystick Controls
- Left Joystick (Throttle/Yaw):
- Push up: Drone flies upward.
- Push down: Drone flies downward.
- Push left: Drone turns left (yaw).
- Push right: Drone turns right (yaw).
- Right Joystick (Pitch/Roll):
- Push up: Drone flies forward.
- Push down: Drone flies backward.
- Push left: Drone flies to the left (strafe).
- Push right: Drone flies to the right (strafe).
6.3 Speed Adjustment
Press the Speed button on the controller to cycle through different speed modes (Low, Medium, High). The controller will emit beeping sounds to indicate the selected speed mode (e.g., one beep for Low Speed, two beeps for High Speed).
6.4 One-Click Return
Press the Return Button on the controller, and the drone will automatically fly back to its home point. The drone's home position is set when the GPS signal reaches 9 for the first time.
6.5 Automatic Return
The drone features an automatic return function. If the drone loses connection with the controller or when the battery level falls below a safe threshold, the drone will automatically return to its home point.
