The HopCycle HO1 Electric Scooter is designed for personal transportation, offering a balance of speed, range, and safety. It features a 500W peak motor, a top speed of 18 MPH, and a range of up to 21 miles on a single charge. The scooter is equipped with 8.5-inch pneumatic tires, a dual braking system, and IPX4 waterproof protection.
Important Safety Information
WARNING: Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear when riding the electric scooter. Follow all local traffic laws and regulations.
- Do not ride in heavy rain or through standing water deeper than 1 inch.
- Ensure all bolts and quick releases are securely fastened before each ride.

Setup and Initial Use
Unfolding the Scooter
The HopCycle HO1 Electric Scooter is designed for quick folding and unfolding. To unfold:
- Place the scooter on a flat surface.
- Release the folding latch located near the base of the handlebar stem.
- Carefully lift the handlebar stem until it locks into the upright position. Ensure the locking mechanism is fully engaged.
- Tighten any visible clamps or screws on the handlebar stem to secure it.
The scooter folds in approximately 3 seconds for portability.
Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the scooter's battery. The battery charge time is approximately 5 hours.
- Locate the charging port, typically on the side of the deck.
- Connect the charger to the charging port, then plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
- The indicator light on the charger will change (e.g., red to green) when charging is complete.
- Disconnect the charger once fully charged.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off and Display
To power on the scooter, press and hold the power button on the LCD display. To power off, press and hold the power button again.

The LCD display provides real-time information:
- Speed: Current speed in MPH or km/h.
- Riding Mode: ECO (Economy), D (Drive), S (Sport) modes.

- Cruise Control: Indicates when cruise control is engaged.

Riding Modes
The scooter offers multiple riding modes to suit different conditions and preferences:
- ECO Mode: Energy-saving mode for extended range and lower speed (e.g., 6 MPH).
- Drive Mode (D): Standard mode for balanced speed and range (e.g., 12 MPH).
- Sport Mode (S): Maximum performance mode for higher speeds (up to 18 MPH).
Switch between modes by pressing the power button briefly while the scooter is on.
Braking System
The HopCycle HO1 features a dual braking system for effective stopping power:
- Electronic Brake: Activated by the brake lever, provides regenerative braking.
- Disc Brake: Mechanical brake for additional stopping force, also activated by the brake lever.
Always apply brakes smoothly to avoid skidding. Test brakes before each ride.
Cruise Control
To activate cruise control, maintain a consistent speed for a few seconds. The scooter will beep, and the cruise control icon will appear on the display. To deactivate, press the brake lever or accelerate.
Headlights and Taillights
The scooter is equipped with bright LED headlights and rear warning lights for visibility. Turn them on/off via the dedicated button or through the display interface, as per model specifics.

Maintenance
Tire Care
The scooter uses 8.5-inch pneumatic tires. Regularly check tire pressure and inflate to the recommended PSI (refer to tire sidewall for specific pressure). Inspect tires for wear, punctures, or damage before each ride.
Cleaning
Clean the scooter with a damp cloth. Do not use high-pressure water jets or immerse the scooter in water. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed during cleaning.
Battery Care and Storage
To prolong battery life:
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
- Charge the battery at least once every 30 days if not in use.
- Store the scooter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
General Inspection
Periodically check all screws, bolts, and connections for tightness. Ensure the braking system is functioning correctly and cables are not frayed or damaged.
