Setup Guide

1. Download the Nelko App

The Nelko app is essential for operating your label maker. It is available for both iOS and Android devices.

1. Method 1: Scan QR Code
   Scan the QR code provided in the quick start guide or on the product packaging to directly download the "Nelko" app.
2. Method 2: Search App Store
   Open the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android) on your mobile device. Search for "Nelko" and download the official app.

2. Install Label Tape

Follow these steps to correctly install the label tape:

1. Slide the cover button to open the label maker's top cover.
2. Load the paper roll into the paper bin, ensuring it is correctly oriented.
3. Unroll approximately 2-3 cm of paper so that it sticks out slightly from the printer's output slot.
4. Close the cover. Double-click the power button to calibrate the printer. The printer will print a test page.

3. Power On

Long press the power button on the side of the label maker to turn it on. The indicator light will illuminate.

Operating Instructions

1. Connect via Bluetooth

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device before proceeding.

1. Open the "Nelko" app.
2. Tap on the "Unconnected" status in the app (usually in the top right corner).
3. The app will search for nearby devices. Select "P21" from the list and tap "Connect" or "Pair" when prompted.
4. Once connected, the app will show "Connection Succeeded" and the label maker's indicator light will turn steady blue.

2. Create and Print Labels

The Nelko app offers various features to design your labels:

1. Using Templates:
   The app includes over 160 system templates, 850+ materials/borders, 90+ fonts, and supports 14+ languages. Browse the "Template" section, select a design, and customize the text, icons, or other elements.
2. Creating Custom Labels:
   Tap the "+" icon to create a blank label. Double-click the label area to add text. Use the functional area to insert various elements such as text, QR codes, barcodes, images, time, and borders.
3. Editing Features:
   Adjust font size, style (bold, italic, underline), alignment, and spacing. You can also rotate elements, duplicate them, or lock them in place.
4. Printing:
   Once your label is designed, tap the "Print" button. You can select the number of copies before printing. The label maker will print the labels quickly and clearly.

Maintenance

1. Charging

To charge your Nelko P21 Label Maker, use the provided USB Type-C charging cable. Connect it to a standard USB power adapter (not included). The indicator light will show the charging status:

• Flash Green: Charging
• Steady Green: Fully charged

Note: Do not use fast charging adapters, as they are not suitable for this device.

2. General Care

• Keep the device clean and free from dust.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Use only genuine Nelko label tapes for optimal performance and to prevent damage to the print head.
• Avoid tearing or damaging the green sticker on the back of the label strip, as this can affect printing quality.

Troubleshooting

Indicator Light Meanings:

• Flash Red: Print head overheat or low battery. Printing cannot be completed. Allow the device to cool down or charge the battery.
• Steady Red: Cover is open or out of paper. Printing cannot be completed. Ensure the cover is closed and a label roll is properly installed.
• Steady Blue: Successfully connected to Bluetooth.

Common Issues:

• Printing multiple copies abnormally (iOS users): Update the Nelko app to the latest version (V3.3.0 or later).
• Not compatible with Google phones on Android 14: This is a known compatibility limitation.
• Label maker not working with computers: The Nelko P21 is designed for mobile device connectivity only.
• Continuous label tapes not supported: The device only supports fixed-length labels.
