Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare the Yarn: Place your skein or hank of yarn on a swift or a suitable holder to allow it to unwind freely.
  2. Thread the Yarn: Guide the yarn through the eyelet on the yarn guide arm. Then, secure the end of the yarn to the spindle of the winder. The multi-slot and rubber band design on the spindle helps fix the yarn head.
  3. Power On: Press the On/Off button (usually indicated by a power symbol) to turn on the winder. The default speed is medium.
  4. Adjust Winding Speed:
    • Press the MAX button to increase the winding speed for thicker yarns. Higher speeds provide stronger tension. Slight shaking may occur during high-speed use with thick yarn, which is normal.
    • Press the LOW button to decrease the winding speed for finer yarns.
    • The default speed is suitable for medium yarn.
  5. Begin Winding: The winder will automatically start winding the yarn into a cake. Monitor the process to ensure smooth operation.
  6. Finish Winding: Once the yarn is fully wound, press the On/Off button to stop the machine. Carefully remove the yarn cake from the spindle.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the winder with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Overload Protection: The machine is equipped with an intelligent overload detection function. If the yarn weight exceeds 50g or the winding duration exceeds 3 minutes continuously, the machine may automatically pause to prevent motor wear.
  • Optimal Use Guidelines:
    • Use yarn balls weighing ≤ 50g (thickness ≤ 4mm).
    • Allow a cooling interval of 2 minutes between winding sessions.
    • Avoid winding non-yarn materials.

Troubleshooting

Device Pauses During Operation

If the device pauses, it is likely due to the intelligent overload protection system being activated.

  1. Unplug the power cord and remove any excess yarn that may be causing the overload.
  2. Restart the device at maximum speed and allow it to run idle for 30 seconds. Ensure the machine casing is stable during this process.
  3. Insert new yarn and resume operation. This predictive maintenance helps ensure a high recovery rate and extends motor life.
