5. Setup
5.1 Placement
Place the litter box on a firm, level surface in a location accessible to your cat and near a power outlet. Ensure there is enough space around the unit for proper ventilation and access for maintenance.
5.2 Litter Compatibility
This litter box is compatible with clumping cat litters such as bentonite, mineral, and mixed litters. It is not recommended for long-strip or crystal litters.

5.3 Power Connection
- Connect the power adapter to the litter box.
- Plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- The unit will power on and perform an initial calibration cycle.
5.4 App Download and Wi-Fi Connection
To utilize smart features, download the HALKYDY app from your smartphone's app store. The litter box connects via 2.4G WiFi. Ensure your router is configured for 2.4Ghz or that your phone is connected to a 2.4Ghz network during setup.
- Download and install the HALKYDY app.
- Create an account or log in.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your device. This typically involves pressing the WiFi button on the litter box for 3 seconds until it blinks, then pairing via the app.

6. Operation
6.1 Manual Control Buttons
The litter box features three control buttons for manual operation:
- WiFi Button: Press for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode for app connection.
- Empty Button: Press for 3 seconds to initiate the emptying process of the waste bin.
- Clean Button: Press for 1 second to start a manual cleaning cycle.

6.2 Automatic Cleaning
After your cat uses the litter box and exits, the unit will automatically initiate a cleaning cycle after a preset delay (configurable via the app). The internal mechanism sifts the clean litter, depositing waste into the sealed drawer below.

The HALKYDY app provides comprehensive control and monitoring features:
- Remote Cleaning: Initiate a cleaning cycle from anywhere.
- Usage Monitoring: Track how often your cat uses the litter box.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Emptying the Waste Bin
When the app notifies you or the waste bin indicator light illuminates, it's time to empty the waste bin. Simply pull out the drawer, dispose of the waste, and reinsert the clean bin.
7.2 Cleaning the Unit
Regular cleaning of the main unit is recommended to maintain hygiene. Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a damp cloth with mild detergent. Do not submerge the unit in water or use harsh chemicals.
7.3 Litter Replacement
Periodically replace all the litter in the main globe. Use the 'Empty' function to remove old litter, then clean the globe if necessary, and refill with fresh, compatible cat litter.
