Setup and Charging
Initial Charge
Before first use, fully charge the Klarus E8 flashlight using the provided USB cable. The device supports charging while in use, but may generate heat during this operation.
- Connect the USB cable to the Type-C port on the flashlight.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power source.
- The battery indicator lights will illuminate to show charging progress.

The Klarus E8 features a 4-LED battery level indicator:
- 4 LEDs solid: ~100% battery
- 3 LEDs solid: ~75% battery
- 2 LEDs solid: ~50% battery
- 1 LED solid: ~25% battery
- 1 LED blinking: Low battery

Operating Instructions
Headlight Operation (Top Light)
- Turn On/Off: From the power-off state, click the button to turn on (memory mode). Press and hold for 0.5 seconds to turn off.
- Adjust Brightness: While on, click the button to cycle through brightness levels (Low, Medium, High).
- Turbo Mode: Double-click the button to instantly activate 1000-lumen Turbo mode. Double-click again for Strobe.
- Strobe Mode: From Turbo mode, double-click to activate Strobe.
Sidelight Operation (Floodlight)
- Turn On/Off: From the power-off state, press and hold the button for 0.5 seconds to turn on (memory mode). Press and hold for 0.5 seconds to turn off.
- Adjust Brightness/Color: While on, click the button to cycle through modes (Warm White High, Warm White Medium, Warm White Low, Red, Red Strobe).
Lockout Function
To prevent accidental activation, the Klarus E8 features a triple-click lockout:
- Activate Lockout: From any state, triple-click the button. The light will flash to indicate lockout is active.
- Deactivate Lockout: Triple-click the button again. The light will turn on in the last used mode.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. For long-term storage, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) and recharge every 3-6 months to maintain battery health.
- Water Resistance: Ensure the USB port cover is securely closed to maintain IPX6 water resistance.
Troubleshooting
- Light not turning on:
- Check battery level and recharge if necessary.
- Ensure the flashlight is not in lockout mode (triple-click to deactivate).
- Charging issues:
- Verify the USB cable is properly connected to both the flashlight and the power source.
- Try a different USB cable or power adapter.
- Inconsistent mode switching:
- Ensure button presses are distinct and not too rapid or too slow.
