1. Safety Information

  • Keep the controller away from water and other liquids.
  • Do not expose to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the controller to strong impacts.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the controller. This may void the warranty and cause damage.
  • Use only the provided USB Type-C cable for charging.

2. Product Overview

The NITHO SMART 2 Wireless Controller is a versatile gaming gamepad designed for use across multiple platforms including PC, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS devices. It features advanced Hall Effect technology for precise control, programmable buttons, adjustable turbo functions, a 6-axis motion sensor, and dual vibration feedback.

  • Left Stick (L3): Analog joystick with push-down function.
  • Right Stick (R3): Analog joystick with push-down function.
  • D-Pad: Directional pad for precise movement.
  • A/B/X/Y Buttons: Standard action buttons.
  • L1/R1 (Bumpers): Shoulder buttons.

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Controller

Before first use, fully charge the controller. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the controller's Type-C port and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., PC, USB wall adapter). The LED indicator will show charging status and turn off when fully charged. A single charge provides approximately 8 hours of playtime.

3.2 Initial Pairing

To pair the controller with a device, ensure the controller is sufficiently charged. The pairing process varies slightly depending on the platform.

4. Operating the Controller

4.1 Platform Connectivity

4.1.1 Connecting to Nintendo Switch

  1. On your Switch console, go to 'Controllers' > 'Change Grip/Order'.
  2. Press and hold the HOME button on the NITHO SMART 2 controller for 3 seconds until the LED indicators start flashing.
  3. The controller will pair with the Switch, and the corresponding player LED(s) will light up solid.

4.1.2 Connecting to PC (Windows)

The controller can connect to PC via Bluetooth or wired USB-C.

  • Bluetooth Connection:
    1. Ensure your PC has Bluetooth enabled.
    2. Go to 'Bluetooth & other devices' settings on your PC.
    3. Select 'Add Bluetooth or other device' > 'Bluetooth'.
    4. Press and hold the HOME button on the controller for 3 seconds until the LED indicators flash.
    5. Select 'NITHO SMART 2' from the list of available devices to pair.
  • Wired Connection:
    1. Connect the controller to your PC using the USB Type-C cable.
    2. The PC should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.

4.1.3 Connecting to Android Devices

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your Android device.
  2. Press and hold the HOME button on the controller for 3 seconds until the LED indicators flash.
  3. Search for Bluetooth devices on your Android device and select 'NITHO SMART 2' to pair.

4.1.4 Connecting to iOS Devices

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your iOS device.
  2. Press and hold the HOME button on the controller for 3 seconds until the LED indicators flash.
  3. Search for Bluetooth devices on your iOS device and select 'NITHO SMART 2' to pair.

4.2 Special Features

4.2.1 Hall Effect Triggers & Sticks

The controller is equipped with Hall Effect triggers and analog mini sticks. This technology uses magnetic fields for input detection, providing consistent accuracy and drift-free performance over time, enhancing precision in gameplay.

4.2.2 Programmable M1/M2 Buttons

The M1 and M2 back buttons can be programmed to replicate up to 12 different button functions, allowing for faster combos and customized control. Refer to the specific programming instructions in the full manual for detailed steps.

4.2.3 Turbo Function

The Turbo button allows you to set a rapid-fire function for specific buttons. You can switch between manual turbo and auto turbo modes, and adjust the firing rate (e.g., 5, 10, or 15 shots per second) for action-packed games.

4.2.4 6-Axis Motion Sensor & Dual Vibration

The integrated 6-axis motion sensor provides immersive control for games that utilize motion input. Dual motors provide vibration feedback with three selectable intensity levels (Low, Medium, High), enhancing the gaming experience.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the controller.
  • For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure no liquid enters the controller's ports or openings.

5.2 Storage

  • Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on the controller.
  • If storing for an extended period, charge the controller periodically to maintain battery health.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Controller Not Connecting

  • Check Battery: Ensure the controller is fully charged.
  • Re-pair: Delete the controller from your device's Bluetooth list and attempt to pair again.
  • Distance: Ensure the controller is within the effective range of your device's Bluetooth.
  • Interference: Move away from other wireless devices that might cause interference.
  • Wired Connection: Try connecting via USB-C cable to verify basic functionality.

6.2 Buttons Not Responding

  • Restart Controller: Turn the controller off and then on again.
  • Reset: Locate the small reset button (if present, often a pinhole) and press it with a thin object.
  • Firmware Update: Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates.

6.3 Charging Issues

  • Cable Check: Ensure the USB Type-C cable is securely connected and undamaged. Try a different cable if available.
  • Power Source: Try a different USB power source (e.g., a different USB port on your PC or a different wall adapter).
