Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your Govee TV Backlight 3 Pro for optimal performance.

Step 1: Prepare Your TV

• Ensure your TV screen and back are clean and free of dust or oils.
• Unplug the TV from the power outlet.

Step 2: Camera Placement

Position the camera on the top center of your TV, ensuring it is at a 90-degree angle to the screen. The camera's gravitational hanging design adapts to most ultra-thin TVs.

For 55-65 inch TVs, ensure the light strip is placed approximately 0.5cm from the edge. For 65-85 inch TVs, the recommended distance is 3-5cm from the edge.

Step 3: Attach the LED Strip

Carefully attach the LED strip to the back of your TV, following the recommended distances from the edges. Use the provided clips and adhesives to secure the strip and connecting wires. Ensure the strip is evenly distributed around the perimeter of the TV.

Step 4: Connect Components

• Connect the LED strip to the control box.
• Connect the camera to the control box.
• Connect the power adapter to the control box, then plug it into a power outlet.

Step 5: Calibration

Accurate calibration is essential for optimal color synchronization. Follow these steps using the Govee Home app:

1. Download and install the Govee Home app on your smartphone.
2. Register or log in to your Govee account.
3. Add your Govee TV Backlight 3 Pro device in the app.
4. Attach the orange foam calibration markers to the screen as instructed by the app.
5. During app calibration, drag the blue points to align with the orange foam markers on your screen. Ensure the center point remains within the screen area.
6. Once the initial calibration is complete, play a solid grey image on your TV screen.
7. Perform a one-click white balance calibration via the app to fine-tune color accuracy.
