5. Maintenance
Filter Replacement
The Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact uses two types of filters:
- 360° Electrostatic Filter: Captures 99.97% of pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including allergens. This filter is designed to last up to five years, reducing replacement frequency.
- 360° Activated Carbon Filter: Removes pet and cooking odors, and gases such as NO₂. This filter traps airborne pollutants on a highly porous surface. The lifespan of the carbon filter depends on usage and air quality, and it should be replaced when indicated by the unit or app.
To replace filters, press the side tabs, lift the top section, and remove the old filters. Insert new filters, ensuring proper alignment, then re-attach the top section until it clicks.

6. Troubleshooting
- Unit not powering on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the unit and a working wall outlet.
- Poor air quality readings: Check if filters are correctly installed and not heavily soiled. Ensure the unit is placed in an area with good air circulation.
- Wi-Fi connectivity issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz compatible (some units may not connect to 5GHz networks). Restart the unit and your router, then attempt to reconnect via the MyDyson app.
- Unusual noise: Check for any obstructions in the air intake or outlet. Ensure filters are properly seated. If a persistent hum is present, contact customer support.
