5.1.1. Desk Clamp Installation

  1. Attach the desk clamp base to the edge of your desk.
  2. Tighten the clamp screw until the base is securely fastened to the desk.
  3. Insert the main pole of the monitor arm into the clamp base.

5.1.2. Grommet Mount Installation

  1. If your desk has a grommet hole, insert the grommet mount base through the hole.
  2. Secure the base from underneath the desk using the provided plate and nut.
  3. Insert the main pole of the monitor arm into the grommet base.

5.2. Attaching the Monitor

  2. Slide the monitor (with the attached VESA plate) onto the arm's VESA head.
  3. Secure the monitor to the arm by tightening the locking screw on the VESA head.

5.3. Cable Management

Figure 4: Overview of monitor arm adjustments. This image highlights the tilt, pivot, retraction, and height adjustment capabilities of the Ergosolid G70 arm.

6.1. Gas Spring Tension Adjustment

The gas spring tension needs to be adjusted to match your monitor's weight for smooth movement. Use the provided hex key to turn the adjustment screw on the arm. Turn clockwise to increase tension for heavier monitors, and counter-clockwise to decrease tension for lighter monitors. Adjust until the monitor stays at any desired height without drifting up or down.

6.2. Height Adjustment

Once the gas spring tension is correctly set, you can effortlessly raise or lower your monitor by gently pushing or pulling the monitor to the desired height. The arm allows for a height adjustment range of up to 530 mm.

6.4. Swivel Adjustment

The arm allows for a 90° lateral rotation (swivel) to the left and right, enabling you to share your screen or adjust your viewing position easily.

6.5. Rotation (Pivot)

The monitor can be rotated 360° from landscape to portrait orientation without removing it from the arm.
