Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your TOPZEE 1.7L Glass Electric Kettle, Model TGK-17. Please read all instructions carefully before use and retain this manual for future reference.

Safety Instructions

Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the kettle for any damage.
2. Clean: Before first use, fill the kettle with water to the MAX line, boil, and then discard the water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
3. Placement: Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in contact with hot surfaces.
4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Filling the Kettle

1. Press the 'OPEN' button on the handle to open the lid.
2. Fill the kettle with fresh, cold water. Observe the water level markings on the glass body. Do not fill below the MIN (0.5L) line or above the MAX (1.7L) line.
3. Close the lid securely until it clicks into place.

Selecting Temperature and Boiling

The kettle offers 6 preset temperatures for various beverages:

• 160°F (Delicate Tea)
• 175°F (Green Tea)
185°F (White Tea)
• 195°F (Oolong Tea)
• 200°F (Coffee)
• Boil (Black Tea / 212°F)

1. Place the kettle firmly on its power base. The LED indicator will show white (Standby).
2. Select your desired temperature by pressing the corresponding button on the handle. The selected temperature button will illuminate.
3. Press the 'START' button. The LED indicator will turn blue (Operating), and the water will begin to heat.
4. Once the selected temperature is reached, the kettle will automatically shut off, and the LED indicator will return to white.

Keep Warm Function

After reaching the target temperature, press the 'KEEP WARM' button to maintain the water temperature for up to 30 minutes. The LED will remain blue during the keep warm cycle.

2-Minute Memory Function

If you lift the kettle from its base during a heating or keep warm cycle, the settings will be remembered for 2 minutes. If placed back on the base within this time, the cycle will resume automatically.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Kettle

• Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• The mesh filter can be easily removed for cleaning. Rinse it under running water.
• Do not immerse the kettle or power base in water or any other liquid.

Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. This can affect performance and taste. Descaling is recommended periodically:

• Fill the kettle with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
• Boil the mixture and let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy buildup.
• Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times.
• Alternatively, use a commercial descaling solution following the product's instructions.
