3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials, including tape and protective films.
  2. Inspect the ice maker for any shipping damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
  3. Ensure all accessories are present: ice scoop, water inlet hose, and drain hose.

3.2 Placement

  • Place the ice maker on a firm, level surface capable of supporting its weight when full of water and ice.
  • Allow at least 6 inches (15 cm) of space around the back and sides for proper air circulation and heat dissipation.
  • Avoid placing the unit near heat-generating appliances or in direct sunlight.
  • Ensure the ambient temperature is between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32°C).
  • The unit can be used freestanding or under a counter, provided adequate ventilation is maintained.

3.3 Water Connection

This ice maker requires a continuous water supply and drainage.

  1. Water Inlet: Connect the provided water inlet hose to a potable water supply with a pressure between 15-80 PSI. Secure the connection to prevent leaks.
  2. Drainage: Connect the provided drain hose to the unit's drain outlet. Route the drain hose to a floor drain or a suitable drainage system. The integrated drain pump will assist in water removal. Ensure the drain hose has a continuous downward slope to prevent water stagnation.

3.4 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, it is recommended to clean the interior of the ice maker.

  1. Add a mixture of water and a small amount of mild detergent to the water reservoir.
  2. Run a self-cleaning cycle (refer to Section 5.1).
  3. Drain the cleaning solution completely.
  4. Rinse the interior with clean water and drain again.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Control Panel

4.2 Making Ice

  1. Ensure the water supply is connected and turned on.
  2. Press the ON/OFF button to start the ice making process. The unit will automatically fill with water and begin producing ice.
  3. The first batch of ice may take slightly longer. Subsequent cycles will produce ice in approximately 12-20 minutes.
  4. The ice maker will automatically stop when the ice storage bin is full.

4.3 Adjusting Ice Thickness

You can adjust the ice thickness to suit your preference or application.

  1. During ice making, use the + or - buttons to increase or decrease the ice making time, which directly affects the ice thickness.
  2. A longer ice making time results in thicker ice; a shorter time results in thinner ice.

4.4 Timer Function

The 24-hour timer allows you to schedule the ice maker's operation.

  1. Press the TIMER/CLEAN button (short press) to activate the timer setting mode.
  2. Use the + or - buttons to set the desired delay time (in hours) before the unit starts or stops operation.
  3. Press the TIMER/CLEAN button again to confirm the setting.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Self-Cleaning Function

The ice maker is equipped with a self-cleaning function for convenient maintenance.

  1. Ensure the unit is powered on and has water in the reservoir.
  2. Press and hold the TIMER/CLEAN button for 5 seconds.
  3. The unit will initiate a 30-minute cleaning cycle.
  4. After the cycle, drain the water from the unit.

5.2 Regular Cleaning

  • Daily: Drain any remaining water from the reservoir using the gravity drainage system.

  • Exterior: Wipe the stainless steel exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

5.3 Storage

  1. Perform a thorough cleaning cycle.
  2. Drain all water from the unit.
  3. Disconnect the water supply and power cord.
  4. Dry the interior completely.
  5. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
