2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Initial Charging
Although the cameras are solar-powered, it is recommended to fully charge them via the USB cable before the first use to ensure optimal performance upon setup. Connect the provided USB cable to the camera's Micro USB port and a standard 5V/1A USB power adapter (not included).
2.2 App Download and Account Creation
The ANRAN security cameras operate via a dedicated mobile application. Please follow these steps:
- Scan the QR code provided in the quick start guide or search for "ANRAN" in your mobile device's app store (Google Play Store for Android, Apple App Store for iOS).
- Download and install the ANRAN app.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account or log in if you already have one.

2.3 Camera Pairing and Network Connection
Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz, as the cameras do not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.

- Open the ANRAN app and tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
- Select your camera model from the list.
- Follow the in-app instructions to connect the camera to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. This typically involves scanning a QR code displayed on your phone with the camera's lens.
- Once connected, the camera's indicator light will change, and you will hear a confirmation prompt.
2.4 Physical Installation
Choose a location for your camera that provides optimal sunlight exposure for the solar panel and a clear view of the area you wish to monitor. The camera is IP66 weatherproof, suitable for outdoor use in various conditions.

- Mounting Location: Identify a sturdy surface (wall, eaves) that receives direct sunlight for several hours a day.
- Drilling: Use the provided sticker as a template to mark drill holes. Drill holes and insert wall anchors if necessary.
- Secure the Bracket: Attach the camera bracket to the wall using the screws from the screw pack.
- Attach Camera: Securely attach the camera to the mounted bracket.
- Adjust Angle: Adjust the camera angle to cover the desired monitoring area.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Live View and Playback
Access the live feed of your cameras and review recorded footage through the ANRAN app.
- Open the ANRAN app.
- Tap on the desired camera to view its live feed.
- Use the playback option to access recorded events stored on the cloud or an inserted SD card.
3.2 Two-Way Audio
The built-in microphone and speaker allow for real-time two-way communication.

- While in live view, tap the microphone icon to speak through the camera's speaker.
- Tap the speaker icon to hear audio from the camera's microphone.
3.3 PIR Motion Detection and Alerts
The camera utilizes a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor to detect motion, reducing false alarms from non-human movements.

- When motion is detected, the camera will automatically begin recording and send a notification to your mobile device via the app.
- You can adjust the motion detection sensitivity and set custom detection zones within the app settings to minimize unwanted alerts.
- The camera can also activate a flashlight alarm or siren upon detection for deterrence.
3.4 Night Vision
The camera features 5MP upgraded HD video and color night vision, providing clear images even in low-light conditions.

- The camera automatically switches to night vision mode in low light.
- You can choose between full color night mode, full color daytime mode, or infrared mode in the app settings.
3.5 Recording and Storage
The camera supports two storage modes:
- Cloud Storage: Lifetime free cloud storage base service (records 6s & 7 days loop coverage permanently).
- SD Card Storage: Supports local storage via a Micro SD card (not included). Insert the SD card into the designated slot on the camera (refer to Figure 1.2).
3.6 Multi-user Access and Device Sharing
You can share access to your camera's live feed and recordings with family members or trusted individuals.
- Within the ANRAN app, navigate to the device settings.
- Select the option to share the device and follow the instructions to invite other users.
3.7 Alexa Integration
The ANRAN cameras are compatible with Amazon Alexa, allowing for voice control and viewing on compatible smart displays.
- Enable the ANRAN skill in your Alexa app.
- Discover your cameras through the Alexa app.
- Use voice commands such as "Alexa, show me the [camera name]" to view the live feed on your Echo Show or other compatible device.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Solar Panel Cleaning
To ensure optimal charging efficiency, periodically clean the surface of the solar panel to remove dust, dirt, leaves, or snow. Use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
4.2 Battery Management
The integrated solar panel continuously charges the camera's battery. Under normal conditions with sufficient sunlight, you should not need to remove the camera for manual charging. If the camera's battery level drops significantly due to prolonged periods of low sunlight or high usage, you can recharge it using the provided USB cable.
4.3 Firmware Updates
Periodically check the ANRAN app for available firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware updated ensures access to the latest features, security enhancements, and performance improvements. Follow the in-app instructions for any update procedures.
