7. Maintenance

  • Regularly inspect the heater for any signs of damage or wear.
  • To clean the heater, first unplug it and allow it to cool completely. Gently wipe the exterior with a soft cloth to remove algae or mineral buildup. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Ensure the heater remains fully submerged during operation.

8. Troubleshooting

The hygger Nano Submersible Aquarium Heater is equipped with an intelligent prevention system to alert you to potential issues:

  • EE Error Code: Indicates an overheat condition. This occurs if the water temperature exceeds 95°F (35°C). The display will flash 'EE' and emit a beeping sound. Unplug the heater, allow the tank to cool, and check for proper water circulation or external heat sources.
  • Er Error Code: Indicates a low water level. This occurs if the heating rod is exposed to air. The display will flash 'Er' and emit a beeping sound. Immediately unplug the heater, add water to the appropriate level, and ensure the heater is fully submerged before plugging it back in.
  • EU Error Code: Indicates a low temperature alarm. This occurs if the water temperature is below 54°F (12°C). The display will flash 'EU'. Check if the heater is functioning correctly or if the ambient temperature is too low for the heater's capacity.

To clear any alarm, manually address the abnormal state (e.g., add water, reduce tank temperature) and then reset the heater by unplugging and replugging it, or by adjusting the temperature setting.
