2.1 Controls and Display

  • Color Display: Shows current mode, station information, time, and menu options.
  • MENU Button: Accesses the main menu.
  • BACK Button: Returns to the previous screen or menu.
  • INFO Button: Displays additional information about the current station or track.
  • MODE Button: Switches between Internet Radio, Podcast, Bluetooth, and FM modes.
  • Rotary Knob: Navigates menus, adjusts volume, and selects options (press to confirm).
  • +/- Buttons: Fine-tune volume or navigate specific settings.
  • Preset Buttons (1, 2, 3+): Long press to save a station, short press to recall.
  • Navigation Buttons (◀◀, ▶▶, ▶‖): For track skipping and play/pause functions in relevant modes.

3. Setup

3.1 Powering the Device

The SR20 can be powered by mains electricity or batteries for portability.

  • Mains Power: Connect the provided USB-C cable to the radio's USB-C port and the power supply to a wall outlet.
  • Battery Power: Insert 4 AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the rear of the radio. Ensure correct polarity.

Note: The radio does not charge rechargeable AA batteries. Use an external charger for rechargeable batteries.

3.2 Initial Setup Wizard

Upon first power-on, the radio will guide you through an initial setup process:

  1. Language Selection: Use the rotary knob to select your preferred language and press to confirm.
  2. Time/Date Setting: Set the current time and date. The radio can synchronize this automatically via the internet once connected.
  3. Network Connection: The radio will scan for available Wi-Fi networks.

3.3 Connecting to Wi-Fi

A stable Wi-Fi connection is essential for Internet Radio and Podcast functions.

  1. From the list of available networks, use the rotary knob to select your Wi-Fi network and press to confirm.
  2. Enter the Wi-Fi password using the rotary knob to select characters and press to confirm each character.
  3. Once the password is entered, select 'OK' or 'Connect'. The radio will attempt to connect to the network.
  4. A confirmation message will appear on the display once connected.

4. Operating the Radio

4.1 Internet Radio

Access thousands of internet radio stations worldwide.

  1. Press the MODE button until 'Internet Radio' is displayed.
  2. Use the rotary knob to browse categories (e.g., Location, Genre, Popular) or search for specific stations.
  3. Press the rotary knob to select a station and begin playback.

4.2 Podcast Player

Explore and listen to a wide range of podcasts.

  1. Press the MODE button until 'Podcast' is displayed.
  2. Browse by category, search for specific podcasts, or view popular options.
  3. Select a podcast and then choose an episode to play.

4.3 Bluetooth Speaker

Connect your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled devices to stream audio.

  1. Press the MODE button until 'Bluetooth' is displayed. The radio will enter pairing mode.
  2. On your external device, enable Bluetooth and search for 'SR20'.
  3. Select 'SR20' to pair. Once connected, you can stream audio from your device to the radio.

Note: The SR20 functions as a Bluetooth receiver only and cannot transmit audio to Bluetooth headphones or other speakers.

4.4 FM Radio

Listen to local FM broadcasts.

  1. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception.
  2. Press the MODE button until 'FM Radio' is displayed.
  3. Use the rotary knob to manually tune to a frequency or press and hold to auto-scan for stations.

4.5 App Control (OKTIV App)

Control your SR20 radio wirelessly using the OKTIV application on your smartphone.

  1. Download the 'OKTIV' app from your device's app store.
  2. Ensure your smartphone and the SR20 radio are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  3. Open the OKTIV app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your SR20 radio.
  4. Once connected, you can switch sources, browse stations, and control playback from the app.

4.6 Presets

Save your favorite stations for quick access.

  • To Save: While listening to a station, long press one of the preset buttons (1, 2, or 3+). The display will confirm the station has been saved.
  • To Recall: Short press the desired preset button (1, 2, or 3+) to instantly switch to the saved station.

4.7 Dual Alarms and Sleep Timer

Set alarms to wake up or a sleep timer to automatically turn off the radio.

  • Alarms: Access the alarm settings via the MENU button. You can set two independent alarms, choose the alarm source (e.g., a specific radio station), and configure daily, weekday, or weekend activation.
  • Sleep Timer: Access the sleep timer settings via the MENU button. Options include OFF, 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. The radio will automatically power off after the selected duration.

4.8 Sound Settings (My EQ)

Customize the audio output to your preference.

  • Navigate to 'My EQ' within the MENU settings.
  • Choose from predefined equalizer presets such as NORMAL, FLAT, JAZZ, ROCK, MOVIE, CLASSIC, POP, or NEWS.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance and functionality of your radio:

  • Ensure the radio is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

5.2 Battery Care

If using batteries:

  • Remove batteries if the radio will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SR20 radio, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
