2. Important Safety Instructions

  • Always place the humidifier on a firm, flat, waterproof surface at least 6 inches (15 cm) away from walls and appliances.
  • Do not place the humidifier directly on carpet, rugs, or absorbent surfaces.
  • Keep the humidifier out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not immerse the humidifier base in water or other liquids.
  • Unplug the humidifier before filling, cleaning, or moving it.
  • Do not add essential oils directly into the water tank. Use the designated essential oil box only.
  • Use only clean, cool tap water. Distilled or demineralized water is recommended to prevent white dust.
  • Do not block the mist outlet or air intake vents.

5. Setup

5.1 Unpacking

  1. Remove the humidifier from its packaging.
  2. Remove all packaging materials, including any protective foam or tape.
  3. Place the humidifier on a flat, stable surface.

5.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the humidifier is unplugged.
  2. Remove the top cover of the humidifier.
  3. Pour clean, cool tap water directly into the water tank through the top opening. Do not exceed the 'MAX' water level indicator.
  4. Replace the top cover securely.

5.3 Power Connection

  1. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  2. The humidifier will enter standby mode.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Control Panel

The control panel is located on the front of the humidifier. It includes touch-sensitive buttons for various functions:

  • Power Button: Turns the humidifier on/off.
  • Mist Level Button: Cycles through Low, Medium, and High mist output levels.
  • Humidity Button: Sets the desired humidity level (40%-90% RH in 5% increments).

6.2 Remote Control

The included remote control allows convenient operation from a distance. Ensure the AAAA battery is correctly installed.

6.3 App Control

The KZF ZG-565 humidifier can be controlled via a smartphone application. Follow the instructions in the app to connect your device to Wi-Fi and access advanced features.

6.4 Mist Output Levels

The humidifier offers three adjustable mist output levels: Low, Medium, and High. Press the Mist Level button to cycle through these options.

6.5 Humidity Setting

You can set your desired humidity level between 40% and 90% Relative Humidity (RH). The humidifier will automatically turn on or off to maintain this level.

6.6 Timer Function

Set the humidifier to operate for a specific duration from 1 to 8 hours. The unit will automatically shut off once the timer expires.

6.7 Aromatherapy Function

To use essential oils, locate the essential oil box on the side of the humidifier. Add a few drops of your preferred essential oil to the aroma pad inside the box. Do not add essential oils directly into the water tank.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning is essential for optimal performance and hygiene.

7.1 Daily Maintenance

  • Unplug the humidifier before any cleaning.
  • Empty any remaining water from the tank.
  • Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.

7.2 Weekly Cleaning

  1. Unplug the humidifier.
  2. Remove the top cover and empty the water tank.
  3. Clean the water tank with a soft brush or cloth. The wide opening facilitates easy access.
  4. For mineral buildup, fill the tank with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water. Let it soak for 20-30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
  5. Clean the transducer (the small disc inside the base) with a soft brush and vinegar solution to remove mineral deposits. Do not scrub forcefully.
  6. Rinse all components thoroughly with clean water and dry completely before reassembling.

7.3 Essential Oil Box Cleaning

Remove the aroma pad from the essential oil box and clean it with a mild detergent and water. Rinse and dry completely before reuse. Replace the pad if it becomes discolored or hardened.
