1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the KZF ZG-565 Smart Humidifier. This device is designed to improve air quality and comfort in your home or office by adding cool mist humidity. Featuring a large 9-liter capacity, top-fill design, and smart controls via app and remote, it offers convenient and efficient operation. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure safe and optimal performance of your humidifier.

2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow these basic safety precautions:

Read all instructions before using the humidifier.
Always place the humidifier on a firm, flat, waterproof surface at least 12 inches (30 cm) away from walls and appliances.
Do not place the humidifier directly on carpet, towels, or other absorbent surfaces.
Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces.
Never operate the humidifier if the cord or plug is damaged.
Do not use essential oils directly in the water tank. Use the designated aromatherapy box only.
Unplug the humidifier before filling, cleaning, or moving it.
Do not immerse the humidifier in water or other liquids.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Use only clean, cool tap water. Distilled or demineralized water is recommended to prevent mineral buildup.

4. Setup

Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
Placement: Place the humidifier on a flat, stable, and waterproof surface. Ensure it is at least 12 inches (30 cm) away from walls, furniture, and electronic devices. Do not place it directly on the floor if possible, to allow for better mist dispersion.
Fill Water Tank:
- Open the top cover of the humidifier.
- Pour clean, cool tap water directly into the water tank. Do not exceed the "MAX" water level indicator. Distilled or demineralized water is recommended to minimize mineral dust and scale buildup.
- Close the top cover securely.

Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The humidifier will enter standby mode.
App Connection (Optional):
- Download the specified smart home app (refer to the QR code in your physical manual or search for the app name provided with the product).
- Follow the in-app instructions to connect your humidifier to your home Wi-Fi network. Note: Some users have reported issues with Wi-Fi connectivity. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz and follow troubleshooting steps if connection fails.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Panel and Remote Control

The humidifier can be operated using the touch control panel on the unit or the included remote control. The functions are generally identical.

Power Button (⏻): Press to turn the humidifier ON or OFF.
Mist Level Button (💨): Press repeatedly to cycle through Low, Medium, and High mist output levels. The current level will be displayed on the LED screen.

Timer Button (🕒): Press to set the operating timer for 1 to 8 hours. The humidifier will automatically turn off after the set time.
Humidity Setting Button (💧): Press to set your desired humidity level (e.g., 40%RH-90%RH). The humidifier will automatically adjust mist output to maintain this level.
Sleep Mode Button (🌙): Activates sleep mode, which dims the LED display and operates the humidifier at a low, quiet mist level for undisturbed rest.

5.2 Aromatherapy Function

To use the aromatherapy function:

Locate the aromatherapy box on the side of the humidifier (refer to Figure 3.2).
Pull out the tray.
Add a few drops of your preferred essential oil onto the aroma pad. Do not pour essential oils directly into the water tank.
Slide the tray back into the humidifier. The mist will now carry the fragrance.

5.3 Smart App Control

Once connected to the app (see Section 4. Setup), you can control all humidifier functions remotely, including power, mist level, timer, humidity settings, and scheduling. Refer to the app's interface for specific controls and features.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning is essential for optimal performance and hygiene. Always unplug the humidifier before cleaning.

6.1 Daily Maintenance

Empty and rinse the water tank and base unit daily.
Wipe down the inside of the tank and base with a clean, dry cloth.
Refill with fresh, cool water.

6.2 Weekly Cleaning (Descaling)

To remove mineral deposits (scale) from the transducer and water tank:

Unplug the humidifier and empty any remaining water.
Pour 1 cup (240ml) of undiluted white vinegar into the water tank and base unit.
Let it soak for 20-30 minutes.
Use a soft brush or cloth to gently clean the transducer and the inside of the tank. Do not scrub aggressively.
Rinse the tank and base thoroughly with clean water until the vinegar smell is gone.
Dry all parts completely before reassembling.

6.3 Aromatherapy Pad Cleaning

Clean the aroma pad regularly by rinsing it with warm water and allowing it to air dry. Replace the pad if it becomes discolored or hardened.

6.4 Storage

When storing the humidifier for an extended period, ensure all parts are clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
