4. Setup Instructions

1. Verify Laptop Compatibility: Ensure your laptop's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) for video output. This is often indicated by a Thunderbolt symbol, a 'D' symbol, or a full-function USB-C port. Ports labeled 'Data Transfer Only' or 'Charging Only' are not compatible for video output.
2. Connect to Laptop: Plug the integrated USB-C cable of the adapter into a compatible USB-C port on your laptop.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Display Modes

Once connected, your operating system should automatically detect the external monitors. You may need to configure the display settings to achieve your desired setup.

• For Windows Users:
  Right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings" or press Windows Key + P. You can choose between:
  • Duplicate (Mirror) Mode (A-A-A): Displays the same content on all screens.
  • Extend Mode (A-B-B or A-B-C): Extends your desktop across multiple screens. For A-B-C (MST Mode), ensure your laptop supports Multi-Stream Transport.
• For macOS Users:

  • Extend Mode (A-B-B): The two external monitors will display the same extended content, different from the laptop display. It does not support A-B-C (three independent displays).
• For Chromebook Users:
  Most Chromebooks do not support MST. You will typically be limited to mirror mode or a single extended display.
