5. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Connect Display: Connect your monitor(s) to the Mini PC using the HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C video outputs. The device supports up to three displays simultaneously.
  2. Connect Peripherals: Plug in your USB keyboard and mouse into the available USB ports (USB 2.0a or USB 3.2).
  3. Connect Network (Optional): For a wired connection, connect an Ethernet cable from your router or modem to one of the 1000Mbps LAN ports. For wireless, ensure your Wi-Fi network is available.
  4. Connect Power: Insert the DC power adapter into the DC Power Input port on the Mini PC, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
  5. Power On: Press the power button on the front panel. The power indicator light will illuminate.
  6. Initial Boot: The Mini PC will boot into the pre-installed Ubuntu Linux operating system. Follow any on-screen prompts for initial setup, such as language selection and user account creation.

Your DreamQuest Mini PC comes with Ubuntu Linux pre-installed. Ubuntu is a user-friendly, open-source operating system known for its stability and security.

7. Connectivity

Wired Network (LAN)

Connect an Ethernet cable to one of the two 1000Mbps LAN ports for a stable and high-speed internet connection. Ubuntu will typically configure this automatically.

Wireless Network (Wi-Fi)

To connect to a Wi-Fi network:

  1. Click on the network icon in the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Select 'Wi-Fi Settings' or choose your desired network from the list.
  3. Enter the Wi-Fi password if prompted.

Bluetooth

The Mini PC supports Bluetooth for connecting wireless peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and headphones.

  1. Open 'Settings' and navigate to the 'Bluetooth' section.
  2. Ensure Bluetooth is turned on.
  3. Select your device from the list and follow the pairing instructions.
