3. Setup
3.1 Installing the Flash Unit
- Slide the Godox V480 flash unit into your camera's hot shoe.
- Rotate the lock ring clockwise to securely tighten the flash onto the hot shoe.

3.2 Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover on the side of the flash unit.
- Insert the provided 7.2V 2200mAh Li-ion battery, ensuring it aligns with the direction indicators inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover until it clicks securely.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off and Screen Unlock
- Power On: Long-press the power button until the screen illuminates.
- Screen Unlock: If the screen is locked, rotate the dial or touch the screen as indicated to unlock it.
- Power Off: Long-press the power button again to turn off the unit.
4.2 Navigation and Interface
- Touchscreen: Swipe down to open the function menu, swipe up to go back. Swipe left/right to navigate between modes.
- Dial & Buttons: Double-tap the power button to open or exit the function menu. Rotate the dial to select options and press the SET button to confirm. The test flash button can be used to fire a test flash.

4.3 Flash Modes
- Manual (M) Mode: Adjust flash power by tapping +/- icons or dragging the slider. Rotate the dial to select, then press SET to confirm.
- TTL Mode: Tap the 'M' icon to switch to TTL mode. Adjust exposure compensation by tapping +/- icons or dragging the slider.
- Zoom Setting: Select Auto Zoom or Manual Zoom (24mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 70mm, 80mm, 105mm).
- Multi (Stroboscopic) Mode: In Multi mode, select group, power, number of flashes, and frequency (Hz).
4.4 Wireless Modes
The Godox V480 features a built-in 2.4G X wireless system, allowing it to function as both a sender (transmitter) and a receiver.
- Sender Mode: Pair with other Godox 2.4 GHz wireless flashes. Long-press the group box to switch between M/TTL/OFF. Tap +/- or drag the slider to adjust power for individual groups or all groups at once.
- Receiver Mode: Syncs wirelessly with an X3 transmitter. Tap the group icon to enter group settings, then choose the desired group (A, B, C, D, E).
4.5 Menu Settings
Access the menu to configure various flash parameters:
- Sender Flash: Enable or disable the sender function.
- Power Type: Adjust the flash power output.
- TCM: Convert TTL metering to Manual mode.
- m/ft: Switch between meters and feet for distance display.
- Standby: Enable or disable standby mode.
- Auto Off: Set the auto-off timer (e.g., 60 minutes).
- Model: Choose between 'Continue' or 'Interrupt' for modeling light behavior.
- Screen: Adjust screen brightness and standby time.
- Language: Select the display language (e.g., English).

4.6 Other Functions
- Sync Mode: Select between Front-curtain sync, High-speed sync (HSS), or Rear-curtain sync.
- Optical Trigger: Enable S1 or S2 optical receiver mode for slave flash functionality.
- Beep: Turn the audible beep sound On or Off.
- Modeling Light: Adjust the 10-level LED modeling lamp brightness.
- Screen Lock: Long-press the screen or SET button for 2 seconds to lock/unlock the screen.
