Operating the Pool System
Sand Filter Pump Operation
The Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump (2650 GPH) is designed for efficient water filtration. Refer to the separate pump manual for detailed operating instructions, including initial setup, backwashing, and rinsing procedures. The sand in the filter typically lasts up to 5 years before needing replacement.

Saltwater System with E.C.O
The integrated saltwater system generates natural chlorine from salt, providing a softer water feel and reducing the need for traditional chemical chlorine. Follow the saltwater system's specific instructions for adding salt, monitoring salt levels, and operating the electrolysis process. The Hydro Aeration Technology improves water circulation, clarity, and freshness.

Maintenance
Regular Cleaning
Use the included Deluxe Maintenance Kit to keep your pool clean. This kit includes a leaf rake with skimmer, wall brush, and vacuum heads for removing debris from the water surface and pool floor. Regularly brush the pool walls and vacuum the bottom.
Water Chemistry
Even with a saltwater system, regular testing of water parameters (pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and free chlorine) is crucial. Adjust as necessary using appropriate pool chemicals to maintain balanced water for swimmer comfort and equipment longevity.
Filter Maintenance
Perform regular backwashing and rinsing of the sand filter as indicated in the pump manual to ensure optimal filtration performance. Replace filter sand every 5 years or as recommended.
Winterization
Before freezing temperatures arrive, properly winterize your pool. This typically involves draining the pool to below the skimmer and return lines, disconnecting and storing the pump and filter, and covering the pool with the included pool cover. Consult the full owner's manual for detailed winterization steps.
Troubleshooting
- Cloudy Water: Check filter operation, backwash if needed. Test water chemistry and adjust chlorine/pH levels. Ensure adequate pump run time.
- Algae Growth: Shock the pool with appropriate chemicals. Brush pool walls and vacuum. Check and adjust chlorine levels.
- Pump Not Running: Ensure power connection. Check circuit breaker. Verify water levels are sufficient for pump operation. Refer to the pump manual for electrical troubleshooting.
- Leaks: Inspect the liner for punctures. Use the included patch kit for minor repairs. Check all hose connections for tightness.
- Saltwater System Error: Refer to the saltwater system manual for specific error codes and troubleshooting steps. Check salt levels and cell cleanliness.
