2. Initial Time Synchronization (DCF Signal)

After inserting the battery, the clock hands will automatically move to the 12 o'clock position. The clock will then begin searching for the DCF radio signal. This process can take several minutes to an hour, depending on your location and signal strength.

  • Place the clock near a window or in an open area for better signal reception.
  • Avoid placing the clock near electronic devices, metal objects, or concrete walls that may obstruct the signal.
  • Once the signal is received, the clock will automatically set itself to the correct time.

3. Mounting the Clock

The clock is designed for wall mounting. Use a suitable screw or hook (not included) to hang the clock securely on the wall.

Operating Instructions

Automatic Time Adjustment

Your Kienzle DCF Radio-Controlled Wall Clock automatically receives the DCF time signal from Frankfurt, Germany. This ensures precise timekeeping and automatic adjustment for Daylight Saving Time (summer/winter time changes).

  • The clock will periodically check and synchronize with the DCF signal to maintain accuracy.
  • No manual adjustment is required for time changes.

Silent Movement

The clock features a silent, non-ticking movement, making it suitable for bedrooms, offices, and other quiet environments.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

When the clock stops or the hands move erratically, it is time to replace the battery. Follow the battery installation steps in the "Setup" section.

  • Always use a fresh AA/LR6 battery.
  • After replacing the battery, the clock will re-synchronize with the DCF signal.

Cleaning

To clean the clock, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these may damage the finish.
