- DOT Certification: This helmet complies with FMVSS 218 and DOT safety standards. Always ensure the helmet is properly fastened before riding.
- Proper Fit: A helmet must fit snugly to provide effective protection. Refer to the sizing guide in Section 4.1.
- Visor Use: Always use the clear outer visor for optimal visibility, especially at night. The inner sun visor is for daytime use only to reduce glare.

3.1. Helmet Structure

4. Setup
4.1. Helmet Fitting
A correctly sized helmet is crucial for safety. Measure your head circumference as shown in the diagram below.

Measurement Instructions:
- Place a measuring tape approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) above your eyebrows.
- Wrap the tape around your head, just above your ears and around the widest part of the back of your head.
- Refer to the size chart to find your corresponding helmet size. If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger size for comfort, or the smaller size for a tighter fit, depending on preference.
Note: The helmet sizing may run slightly small. It is recommended to try on the helmet to ensure a secure and comfortable fit.
4.2. Bluetooth Pairing
The helmet's Bluetooth system allows connection to your mobile device and other compatible helmets.

Pairing with a Mobile Device:
- Ensure the helmet's Bluetooth unit is charged.
- Press and hold the power button on the Bluetooth control unit until the indicator light flashes, indicating pairing mode.
- On your mobile device, go to Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
- Select "ILM 159BT" (or similar name) from the list to connect.
- Once connected, the indicator light will change, and you will hear a confirmation tone.
Intercom Pairing (2-3 Riders):
- Ensure both helmets are powered on and in pairing mode (refer to individual helmet instructions for specific intercom pairing steps).
- Initiate intercom pairing from one helmet's control unit.
- Follow the voice prompts or indicator lights to confirm successful connection between helmets.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Modular Function
The modular design allows you to switch between full-face and open-face configurations.

To open the modular front, locate the release button (usually near the chin bar) and press it while lifting the chin bar upwards until it locks into the open position. To close, press the release button again and pull the chin bar down until it securely latches.
5.2. Visor Operation
The helmet features a dual visor system for varying light conditions.

- Outer Visor: The clear outer visor can be raised or lowered manually. It is Pinlock30 compatible for anti-fog functionality (Pinlock insert not included).
- Inner Sun Visor: To deploy the inner sun visor, use the switch located on the side of the helmet (refer to Figure 3.1). Push the switch forward to lower the visor and backward to retract it.
5.3. Ventilation System
Adjust the multiple air vents to control airflow and maintain comfort.

- Mouth Air Vent: Slide the lever on the chin bar to open or close the vent.
- Top Air Vent: Slide the switch on the top of the helmet to open or close the vent.
- Rear Air Vent: These vents are typically passive exhaust vents, working in conjunction with the front vents to draw air through the helmet.
5.4. Bluetooth Controls
The Bluetooth control unit on the side of the helmet manages all communication and audio functions.
- Power On/Off: Press and hold the main button for approximately 3 seconds.
- Volume Adjustment: Rotate the control knob clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease.
- Music Play/Pause: Short press the main button.
- Answer/End Call: Short press the main button during an incoming call or an active call.
- Intercom Activation: Consult the specific Bluetooth unit's manual for detailed intercom activation and switching between riders.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and effectiveness of your helmet.
6.1. Cleaning the Helmet Exterior
- Use a soft cloth and mild soap with lukewarm water.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or petroleum-based products, as these can damage the helmet's shell and finish.
- Wipe gently and dry with a clean, soft cloth.
6.2. Visor Cleaning
- Remove the outer visor for thorough cleaning.
- Use a soft cloth and clean water. For stubborn dirt, use a specialized helmet visor cleaner.
- Do not use paper towels or rough cloths, as they can scratch the visor surface.
6.3. Removable Liner Care
The helmet features a removable and washable liner for hygiene.

- Carefully detach the liner components from the helmet interior.
- Hand wash the liner with mild soap and cold water.
- Allow the liner to air dry completely before reinserting it into the helmet. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
6.4. Bluetooth Unit Charging
The Bluetooth unit is powered by a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery.
- Locate the charging port on the Bluetooth unit (typically micro-USB).
- Connect the provided charging cable to a compatible USB power source.
- Charge the unit fully before first use and whenever the battery is low.
