3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
The TAC AA 2.0 is compatible with both the included 14500 Li-ion rechargeable battery and standard AA alkaline or NiMH batteries.
- Unscrew the head of the flashlight counter-clockwise.
- Remove any insulating film from the battery terminals before first use.
- Insert the included 14500 Li-ion rechargeable battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the head. Alternatively, insert a standard AA alkaline or NiMH battery.
- Re-attach the head by screwing it clockwise until secure.
3.2 Charging the 14500 Li-ion Battery
The included 14500 Li-ion battery features a built-in USB-C charging port.
- Locate the USB-C port on the side of the 14500 battery.
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the battery and a compatible USB power source.
- The indicator light on the battery will show red during charging and turn green when fully charged.

4. Operating Instructions
The TAC AA 2.0 features a tactical tail switch for operation and mode selection.
4.1 Power On/Off
- Momentary On: Lightly press and hold the tail switch. Release to turn off.
- Constant On/Off: Fully press the tail switch until it clicks to turn the flashlight on or off.
4.2 Mode Selection
The flashlight offers 6 lighting modes. It has a mode memory function for general modes (Low, Medium, High, Turbo).
- With the flashlight on, lightly tap the tail switch (without fully clicking) to cycle through modes: Low → Medium → High → Turbo.
- To access Strobe or SOS modes, refer to the specific mode group settings in the technical parameters.
- The flashlight will remember the last used general mode if it was off for more than 3 seconds.

- Flashlight does not turn on: Ensure the battery is correctly installed with the positive (+) end towards the head. Check if the battery is charged. Remove any insulating film if present.
- Low light output or flickering: Recharge the battery or replace with a fresh AA battery. Ensure all connections (head, body, tail cap) are securely tightened. Clean battery contacts if dirty.
- Water ingress: If water enters the flashlight, immediately remove the battery and allow all components to dry thoroughly before reassembly. Check O-rings for damage and replace if necessary.
