Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your GT OMEGA DD-X Wheel Stand. It is recommended to have a clear, open space for assembly.
1. Unpacking and Component Identification
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Lay them out and compare them against the parts list to ensure everything is present and undamaged.
2. Main Frame Assembly
Assemble the main Y-frame structure. Ensure all bolts are securely tightened to provide the advertised "rock-solid stability."

3. Wheel Deck Installation and Adjustment
Attach the wheel deck to the main frame. The wheel deck features multiple mounting holes for compatibility with various direct drive wheels. Adjust the angle and height of the wheel deck to your preferred racing position. Secure all adjustment points firmly.

4. Pedal Tray Adjustment
Install your pedals onto the pedal tray. The pedal tray's angle can be adjusted to optimize comfort and control. Ensure pedals are mounted securely to prevent movement during intense use.
5. Gear Shifter Mount Attachment
Attach the adjustable gear shifter mount to either the left or right side of the wheel stand, depending on your preference. Adjust its position and angle for ergonomic access.
6. ChairLink Connection
Utilize the included ChairLink to connect your office chair or gaming chair to the wheel stand. This prevents your chair from rolling backward during braking or intense force feedback, enhancing stability and immersion.
7. Upgradability (Optional)
The DD-X Wheel Stand is designed to be upgradable. You can convert it into a full racing simulator by adding the optional DD-X Rear Seat Frame (sold separately).

Operating Instructions
Once assembled, the DD-X Wheel Stand is ready for use with your compatible sim racing equipment.
- Wheel and Pedal Mounting: Securely attach your racing wheel and pedal set to the pre-drilled mounting points on the wheel deck and pedal tray. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent movement during use.
- Adjustments:
- Wheel Deck Angle & Height: Loosen the adjustment knobs/bolts, set the wheel deck to your desired height and angle, then re-tighten firmly.
- Pedal Tray Angle: Adjust the pedal tray angle for optimal foot position and comfort.
- Gear Shifter Mount: Position the gear shifter mount for easy access and secure it. It can be mounted on either side.
- Stability Check: Before each use, ensure all bolts and adjustment points are tight. The fixed Y-frame design provides inherent stability, but regular checks are recommended.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your DD-X Wheel Stand.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Fastener Checks: Periodically inspect all bolts, nuts, and adjustment knobs. Re-tighten any loose fasteners to maintain structural integrity and stability.
- Storage: If storing the wheel stand, ensure it is in a dry environment. The compact design allows for easier storage when not in use.
Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your DD-X Wheel Stand.
- Issue: The wheel stand feels unstable or wobbly.
- Solution: Check all assembly bolts and adjustment knobs. Ensure they are fully tightened. The fixed Y-frame design is inherently rigid, so looseness usually indicates incomplete tightening during assembly or subsequent use.
- Solution: Ensure the wheel stand is placed on a flat, even surface. Uneven flooring can cause perceived instability.
- Solution: For very high force feedback wheels or aggressive braking, consider adding weight to the base of the stand or using the ChairLink to prevent chair movement, which can sometimes be mistaken for stand instability.
- Issue: Adjustments (height, angle) do not hold position.
- Solution: Ensure the adjustment knobs or quick-release levers are fully tightened after setting your desired position. Over time, these may require re-tightening.
- Issue: Difficulty mounting specific racing equipment.
- Solution: The DD-X Wheel Stand features universal mounting holes compatible with most major brands. Refer to your racing equipment's manual for specific mounting patterns. If issues persist, contact GT Omega support.
