Operating Instructions

1. Adjusting Height and Stability

  • Leg Adjustment: Unlock the leg clips to extend or retract each leg section. Lock them securely once the desired height is achieved.
  • Center Column: The center column can be raised or lowered using the lift lock knob. For maximum height, fully extend the center column.
  • Weight Hook: For added stability, especially in windy conditions or with heavier equipment, hang a counterweight (e.g., a bag) from the hook located at the bottom of the center column.
  • Bubble Level: Use the integrated bubble level on the tripod head to ensure your setup is perfectly horizontal for accurate shots.

2. Pan and Tilt Head Operation

The compact tripod head allows for flexible camera positioning:

  • Horizontal Rotation: Use the knob on the side of the head to control 360-degree horizontal rotation for panoramic shots.
  • Vertical Tilt: The handle allows you to lock vertical angles, with a tilt range of 160° (90° downward, 60° upward).
  • Portrait/Landscape: The quick-release plate on top can tilt the camera base over 90 degrees, facilitating easy switching between landscape and portrait orientations.

  2. Pull the center column completely out of the tripod base.
  3. Attach your camera or phone mount to the top of the detached center column.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the tripod with a soft, damp cloth after each use to remove dust and dirt. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Lubrication: Periodically check moving parts for smooth operation. If necessary, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to joints, avoiding excessive application.
  • Storage: Always fold the tripod to its compact size (19.7 inches) and store it in the provided travel bag when not in use. This protects it from dust and damage.
  • Durability: The tripod features CNC technology for precision components and a resin-coated surface for scratch resistance, ensuring a lifespan of over 50,000 uses.

Troubleshooting

  • Tripod Instability: Ensure all leg locks are securely fastened. If using on uneven terrain, adjust individual leg lengths and check the bubble level. Consider using the weight hook for added stability.
  • Stiff Head Movement: Check if all locking knobs on the pan-tilt head are sufficiently loosened. If movement remains stiff, a small amount of lubricant may be applied to the joints.
  • Device Not Secure: Verify that the quick release plate is correctly inserted and the lever is fully closed. Ensure the 1/4" mounting bolt is tightly screwed into your device.
