Installation
Follow these steps for safe and correct installation of your LIDER Digital Timer Switch.
- Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box controlling the switch you are replacing. Turn off the power completely. Verify the power is off using a voltage tester.
- Prepare Wiring: This timer switch requires a Line (Hot), Load, and Ground connection. It does not require a neutral wire. Identify these wires in your electrical box. The timer has three pigtail leads: Black (Hot), Red (Load), and Green (Ground).
- Connect Wires: Use the provided wire nuts to connect the timer's wires to your household wiring:
- Connect the timer's Black wire to the Line (Hot) wire from your electrical box.
- Connect the timer's Red wire to the Load wire (leading to the light/fan).
- Connect the timer's Green wire to the Ground wire in your electrical box.
Important: Ensure the Line (Hot) and Load wires are connected correctly. Reversing them will prevent the timer from functioning.

Initial Setup
After the warm-up period, the display will show the current time and day. If not, you may need to set them.

- Set Current Time: Press the HOUR button to adjust the hour and the MIN button to adjust the minute. Hold the buttons for faster adjustment.
- Set Current Day: Press the DAY button to select the current day of the week.
- Daylight Saving Time (DST): Press the HOUR/DST button to toggle DST on or off.
Operating Instructions
Programming ON/OFF Schedules
The timer allows for up to 18 ON/OFF programs per day. Each program consists of an ON time and an OFF time.
- Press the PROG button to enter programming mode. The display will show '1 ON'.
- Use the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the desired ON time for program 1.
- Press the DAY button to select the day(s) of the week for this program. You can choose individual days, weekdays, weekends, or all 7 days.
- Press PROG again. The display will show '1 OFF'. Set the desired OFF time for program 1 using HOUR, MIN, and DAY buttons.
- Repeat steps 2-4 for additional programs (2 ON/OFF through 18 ON/OFF).
- To exit programming mode, press the MODE/RCL button. The timer will return to normal operation.
Manual Override
To temporarily override the programmed schedule, press the MAN button. This will cycle through ON, OFF, and AUTO modes. In AUTO mode, the timer follows the programmed schedule.
Random Mode for Security
The random mode feature can deter intruders by turning lights on and off at varying, unpredictable times when you are away.
- To activate random mode, press the MIN/RND button. The display will show 'RND'.
- In random mode, the timer will turn connected devices ON and OFF randomly within a set time window around your programmed schedules.
- To deactivate random mode, press the MIN/RND button again.
