What's in the Box
- 1 x Camera Tripod
- 1 x Phone Holder
- 2 x Quick Release Plate
- 1 x Carrying Bag
- 1 x User Manual

Setup Instructions
1. Unfolding the Tripod
Carefully remove the tripod from its carrying bag. Extend the tripod legs outwards until they are fully spread, ensuring the central brace is locked into position for maximum stability.
2. Adjusting Tripod Height
The tripod features quick flip locks on each of its five leg sections. To adjust the height of a leg, open the flip lock, extend the leg to the desired length, and then securely close the flip lock. Ensure all leg sections are evenly extended for optimal balance.

3. Elevating the Center Column
For additional height, the central column can be elevated using the integrated hand crank mechanism. Rotate the hand crank clockwise to raise the column and counter-clockwise to lower it. Once the desired height is reached, tighten the locking knob on the side of the center column to secure it.
4. Attaching Camera or Phone Holder
The tripod comes with a quick release plate and a phone holder. To attach your camera, screw the quick release plate onto the 1/4" screw thread on the bottom of your camera. Then, align the plate with the tripod head and slide it in until it clicks securely into place. Use the safety latch to further secure the plate. For smartphones, attach the provided phone holder to the quick release plate or directly to the 1/4" screw on the tripod head, then insert your phone into the holder.

5. Using the Monopod Feature
The central column of the tripod can be detached and used as a monopod. To do this, fully extend the central column using the hand crank, then locate the release mechanism at the base of the central column. Follow the instructions in the manual to detach it. The monopod can be used handheld or with its own small base for added stability.
Operating Instructions
1. Using the 3-Way Pan Tilt Head
The tripod head allows for 360° rotation, 180° tilt, and 90° vertical photography/videography. Use the main handle to control horizontal panning and vertical tilting. Rotate the handle to loosen or tighten the head for smooth adjustments. A red latch is provided for quick switching between vertical and horizontal compositions.

2. Leveling the Tripod
A built-in bubble level is located on the tripod head to assist in achieving a perfectly level setup. Adjust the tripod legs and head until the bubble is centered within the indicator.
3. Using the Counterweight Hook
For enhanced stability, especially with heavier cameras or in windy conditions, attach a counterweight (e.g., a bag filled with sand or rocks) to the hook located at the bottom of the central column.

4. Cold Shoe for Accessories
The tripod head includes a cold shoe mount, allowing you to attach additional accessories such as fill lights or microphones directly to the tripod.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your NEEWER BASICS TP55 Camera Tripod, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe down the tripod with a soft, dry cloth after each use to remove dust, dirt, or moisture. For stubborn grime, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then dry thoroughly.
- Lubrication: Periodically check the moving parts, such as the pan/tilt head and leg locks, for smooth operation. Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant if necessary, avoiding excessive application.
- Storage: Store the tripod in its included carrying bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure all locks are disengaged before storing to prevent unnecessary tension on components.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect all screws, bolts, and connections to ensure they are tight. Do not overtighten.
Troubleshooting
- Tripod is unstable: Ensure all leg sections are fully extended and their flip locks are securely closed. Verify that the central brace is locked into position. If using a heavy camera, attach a counterweight to the hook on the central column.
- Camera/Phone is loose on the head: Make sure the quick release plate is firmly screwed onto your device and securely clicked into the tripod head. Engage the safety latch.
- Head movement is stiff or too loose: Adjust the tension knobs on the pan/tilt head to achieve the desired resistance for panning and tilting.
- Central column does not extend/retract smoothly: Check for any obstructions. Ensure the locking knob for the central column is loosened before using the hand crank. Apply a small amount of lubricant if movement remains stiff.
