Setup

  1. Charging the Keyboard: Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter). The keyboard can be used while charging.

  3. Selecting Operating System Mode: On the back of the keyboard, locate the switch to select between Windows (Win) and macOS (Mac) modes. Ensure the correct mode is selected for your operating system.
  4. Selecting Connection Mode: On the back of the keyboard, locate the 3-mode switch for 2.4G, USB, and BT (Bluetooth). Select your desired connection method.

Operating Instructions

Connectivity Modes

The ATTACK SHARK X820 Ultra supports three connection modes:

  • 2.4GHz Wireless (FN+4):

    Insert the 2.4GHz wireless receiver (dongle) into an available USB port on your computer. Switch the keyboard's mode selector to "2.4G". The keyboard should connect automatically. The 2.4G receiver can be stored in a dedicated slot on the keyboard's underside when not in use.

  • Bluetooth 5.1 (FN+1/2/3):

    Switch the keyboard's mode selector to "BT". Press FN+1, FN+2, or FN+3 to select a Bluetooth channel. The keyboard will enter pairing mode. On your device, search for "ATTACK SHARK X820 Ultra" and connect. You can pair up to three Bluetooth devices.

  • Wired USB-C:

    Connect the keyboard to your computer using the provided USB-C cable. Switch the keyboard's mode selector to "USB". The keyboard will function as a wired device.

Smart TFT Display & Metal Control Knob

The keyboard features a smart TFT display and a multi-function metal knob for real-time control and status updates.

  • Volume Control: Press FN + Knob, then scroll the knob to adjust volume up or down.
  • Menu Navigation: Rotate the knob to navigate through menu pages on the TFT display. Short press the knob to confirm selections.
  • Display Information: The TFT screen can show RGB settings, OS modes, battery level, date, time, and connection status. It also supports custom GIFs or images.

Dynamic RGB Lighting

Customize your typing experience with 16.8 million colors and over 19 lighting presets.

  • Turn On/Off RGB: Press FN + [key] (refer to keyboard legend for specific key, often a dedicated lighting key or a combination like FN+DEL).
  • Change Color: Press FN + Enter to cycle through colors.

Hot-Swappable Switches

The X820 Ultra features hot-swappable sockets, allowing you to change mechanical switches without soldering. It supports both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches.

  • Removing Switches: Use the provided 2-in-1 key puller to carefully remove the keycap, then use the switch puller end to gently extract the switch.
  • Installing Switches: Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Press down gently until the switch clicks into place. Ensure pins are not bent.

  • Checking Battery Level: Long press FN + Backspace to display the current battery level on the TFT screen.
