4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge the device. Connect the supplied USB-C charging cable to the recorder's Type-C port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours.

4.2 Setting Date and Time

To ensure accurate timestamps on your recordings, connect the device to a computer. Access the device's internal storage and locate the time setting file (usually a text file). Open it and follow the instructions to synchronize the date and time with your computer.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 One-Button Recording

To start recording, simply slide the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position. The device will begin recording automatically. To save the recording and stop, slide the switch back to the 'OFF' position. Ensure you have obtained recording consent where legally required.

5.2 Voice Activated Recording (VOR)

The Vormooi V11 features a Voice Activated Recording (VOR) mode with 1-7 sensitivity levels. In VOR mode, the recorder automatically starts recording when sound is detected and pauses during silence, conserving battery and memory. To activate VOR, connect the device to a computer, access the settings file, and enable VOR with your desired sensitivity level.

5.3 AI Noise Reduction

The Vormooi V11 incorporates advanced AI Multi-Layer Noise Reduction technology. This feature automatically identifies and filters out over 95% of background noise, enhancing human speech clarity. Dual noise-cancelling microphones ensure pure, high-fidelity voice capture (up to 1536Kbps).

5.4 Playback and File Management

Recordings are saved as WAV files. You can manage and listen to your files in several ways:

• Direct Playback with Headphones: Connect the included headphones to the device via the USB-C port using the provided adapter. Use the inline remote control to adjust volume, skip tracks, and pause playback.
• Connecting to a Computer: Use the supplied USB-C charging cable to connect the recorder to your Windows or macOS computer. The device will appear as a removable disk. You can then copy, move, or delete recording files.
• Connecting to Android Smartphone: Use the supplied USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the recorder to a Type-C Android smartphone (OTG function required). You can then manage files directly from your phone.

6. Charging

The Vormooi V11 features a built-in rechargeable battery. Connect the device using the USB-C charging cable to a power source. A 1.5-hour quick charge provides 25-30 hours of continuous high-fidelity audio recording. The device also has a low power auto-save function, which automatically saves current recordings before the battery runs out.

7. Troubleshooting

• Device not turning on: Ensure the device is fully charged. If it still doesn't turn on, try pressing the reset button (a small pinhole, use a thin object like a paperclip).
• Cannot connect to computer/smartphone: Try using a different USB-C cable. Ensure the cable is securely connected to both the recorder and the computer/smartphone. For smartphones, verify that the OTG function is enabled.
• Poor recording quality: Ensure the microphone is not obstructed. Check the VOR sensitivity settings; a higher sensitivity might pick up more background noise. Record in a quieter environment if possible.
• "Insufficient storage space" error: Delete old or unnecessary files from the device to free up space. The 64GB memory can store up to 900 hours, but very long or high-quality recordings will consume more space.
