Setup
Charging the Device
The HOTT C229 features a built-in 4000mAh rechargeable battery, providing 8-14 hours of continuous playback. Before first use, or when the battery is low, charge the device using the provided USB Type-C cable.
- Connect the USB Type-C cable to the charging port on the back of the CD player.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included).
- The charging indicator will illuminate. The device is fully charged when the indicator changes or turns off (refer to LED display for battery status).
Inserting a CD
The unique vertical design allows for easy CD insertion and visual enjoyment of the spinning disc.
- Gently open the transparent front panel of the CD player.
- Carefully place your CD (or CD-R) onto the central spindle, ensuring it is securely seated.
- Close the transparent front panel until it clicks into place.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off and Basic Playback
- To power on the device, rotate the volume knob clockwise until you hear a click, or press the power button on the remote control.
- The LED display will show 'LOAD' and then the track number.
- Press the Play/Pause button to start playback. Press again to pause.
- Use the Next Track or Previous Track buttons to navigate between songs.
- To power off, rotate the volume knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click, or long-press the power button on the remote.
Bluetooth Connection (Transmitter & Receiver)
The HOTT C229 supports Bluetooth 5.3, functioning as both a transmitter (sending audio to Bluetooth headphones/speakers) and a receiver (receiving audio from a Bluetooth device).
Bluetooth Transmitter Mode (Playing CD/TF/USB to Bluetooth Device):
- Ensure the CD player is in CD, TF, or USB mode.
- Press the Mode button until 'BT' or 'BLUE' appears on the display.
- Activate pairing mode on your Bluetooth headphones or speaker.
- The CD player will automatically search and connect to the nearest device. 'BT' or 'BLUE' will stop flashing once connected.
Bluetooth Receiver Mode (Playing Audio from Phone/Tablet to CD Player):
- Press the Mode button until 'BLUE' appears on the display.
- On your external device (phone, tablet), search for 'HOTT C229' in the Bluetooth settings and connect.
- Once connected, you can play audio from your device through the CD player's speaker.

AUX Connection
Use the provided 3.5mm audio cable to connect external audio sources to the CD player.
- Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX-in port on the back of the CD player.
- Connect the other end to the audio output of your external device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone).
- The CD player will automatically switch to AUX mode, or you may need to select it using the Mode button.
Micro SD/USB Playback
The device supports playback from TF cards (1GB-128GB) and MP3 U-drives.
- Insert a TF card into the MicroSD slot or a USB drive into the USB port on the back of the player.
- Press the Mode button to select 'TF' or 'USB' mode.
- The player will automatically detect and play compatible audio files (e.g., MP3).

Timer Function
Set a shutdown timer for 30, 60, or 90 minutes.
- While playing audio, press the Timer button (often combined with Previous Track) to cycle through 30, 60, 90 minutes, or OFF.
- The device will automatically power down after the selected time.

RGB Lighting

- CD not reading: Ensure the CD is clean and free of scratches. Try a different CD. Ensure the protective card paper is removed before use.
- No sound: Check the volume level on both the CD player and any connected external devices/headphones. Ensure connections are secure.
- Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the USB Type-C cable to a power source.
