2. Setup
2.1 Initial Setup
Before installation, ensure you have a compatible microSD card (128GB included). Insert the microSD card into the dash cam. For optimal performance, it is recommended to format the microSD card regularly through the BlackVue App or Viewer.
2.2 Installation
The dash cam features a USB-C power connection for easy and secure installation. Route the power cable discreetly along your vehicle's interior. The front camera mounts to the windshield, and the rear camera connects via a coaxial cable.

2.3 Hardwiring for Parking Mode
For 24/7 Smart Parking Surveillance, hardwiring is required. This connects the dash cam directly to your vehicle's fuse box, allowing it to monitor your vehicle even when the ignition is off. Ensure proper installation to prevent battery drain.

3.1 Driving Mode Recording
The dash cam automatically starts recording when the vehicle's ignition is turned on. The front camera records in 4K UHD, and the rear camera records in Full HD. The STARVIS 2 sensor and HDR ensure high-quality video day and night.

3.2 Parking Mode Surveillance
When hardwired, the dash cam transitions to Smart Parking Surveillance mode automatically when the ignition is turned off. It detects motion and impacts, saving relevant footage with pre-buffering.

3.3 Cloud Connectivity
Utilize the built-in LTE for BlackVue Cloud services. This allows for Live View, remote video playback, GPS tracking, and push notifications directly to your smartphone. Download the BlackVue App from your device's app store.

4. Maintenance
4.1 MicroSD Card Management
The dash cam supports up to 1TB BlackVue microSD cards for extended high-resolution recording. It features endless loop recording, automatically overwriting older files when the card is full. Regularly format the microSD card to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption.

4.2 Advanced Protection
The dash cam includes advanced power and heat protection. Smart power management prevents battery drain with voltage and timer cut-offs. A built-in sensor monitors heat and safely shuts down the device in extreme temperatures to ensure reliable performance and longevity.

5.1 LTE Connectivity Issues
If you experience issues with LTE connectivity, ensure your SIM card is correctly inserted and activated. Verify that the dash cam is the North America (NA) version for use in the US & Canada. For other regions, the Global (GL) version is required. Check for firmware updates via the BlackVue App.
5.2 Installation Challenges
